And up to 100 km / h this car accelerates in 6.6 seconds. In general - an unrealistically strong, fast and dynamic car for the nineties.

This 600th Mercedes could boast of a 4-speed automatic, power steering, independent multi-link suspension (both front and rear), disc ventilated brakes, ESP, ABS, ASR and many other additions. Budget versions

Changes in 1994

Last changes

In 1996, the car was last refined. Retractable "antennas" decided to remove - instead of them appeared a radar parking system, which is today known as parktronic. Still installed a GPS-receiver. In addition to the usual models, other versions, special ones, were also released. So, for example, in 1992 the light was seen by an armored car. It became known as Sonderschutz. Armored windows, built-in plates, special tires, high-strength materials ... This all significantly influenced the level of safety of the machine. Yes, and its mass increased - just one and a half tons.

The second special version is the Mercedes-Benz S 600 Long. Or rather, the Pullman limousine. Initially, the extension of the machine involved a firm called Binz. However, then Daimler took up the job. "One hundred and forty" sawed, and then added an insert length of a meter.

In 1995, there was a mixture of these two versions. It was called - Pullman-Sonderschutz. That is an armored limousine. These modifications were created extremely long, hard and painstaking.
