The temple was built in 1677 - 1692 years. The name of the architect is still unknown. The researchers believe that it was either the serf Pavel Pothekhin, or the architect Stefan Poretsky. The church is made in the style of "Russian uzorochya."

The composition of its volumes is so complex that it strikes the imagination. Its decorative forms are very diverse. There are such elements as belt-cornices, kokoshniki with colored tiles, painted arches.

For its history, the temple near the Ostankino pond has been repeatedly rebuilt and repaired. At the end of the XIX century the bell tower was added. At the same time, the nine-tiered iconostasis was renewed.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Soviet government seized most of the church's values. More than four poods of silver and utensils were stolen. Then in 1935 the church was completely closed.

The temple returned to life only in 1991. Restoration was carried out. His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II consecrated the main throne of the temple. It bears the name of the Life-Giving Trinity. In addition to him, there is also the southern throne of the Monk Alexander Svirsky and the northern throne of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God. The shrines of the church are the icon of the Old Testament Trinity in 1654, the list with the miraculous Chernigov-Ilyinsky icon of the Mother of God, as well as the Georgian icon of the Virgin. The rector of the church is Hieromonk Theophylact. The church is active. Divine services are held daily. The Liturgy takes place at 9 am, the all-night vigil at 5 pm.

Pond in the museum-estate "Ostankino"

The museum-estate is a specially protected natural area of the capital. Previously, there was the village of Ostashkov. The first mention of it dates back to 1558. In 1710 it became known as Ostankino.

In 1584 the Ostankino pond was excavated. Around him were planted trees. The construction of the first buildings of the manor began. At the end of the 17th century a church was built.

From 1743 to 1917 the estate was owned by the Sheremetyev family. In the XVIII century, its representative, Nikolai Petrovich, built here a theater palace. Around him was planted a park. It was organized in French style, fashionable at the time. Then from 1791 to 1798 the palace and park ensemble of the manor was built. In 1918 he became the State Museum of Serf Art.

At first glance it seems that the palace is built of stone. But in fact it is made of wood. The palace was built so harmoniously, its interiors are so elegant that it fascinates visitors throughout its history.

In the late 16th - early 17th centuries a pond was dug in the floodplain of the Ostankino stream. He was given the same name. But the people call him Dvortsov and Akterkin. The last name is due to the fact that earlier in the estate performances were staged. Actors in them were serfs. Not surviving difficult life and punishment, they were drowned in a pond.

He has experienced a lot in his history. In the XX century, its banks were lined with stone. The bed of the Ostankino stream was transferred to the collector.

In February 2013 the estate was closed for reconstruction. Also, the Ostankino Pond located on its territory does not work. The reconstruction will approximately last until December 2016.
