Blagoveshchensk: sights. Description, photo

One of the largest cities of the Far East is Blagoveshchensk. This is the only administrative center in our country, located on the border with another state, on the bank of the Amur. On one side of the river is Blagoveshchensk, and on the other side - Heihe city (China). The state border between them runs along the river bed.

It is a beautiful and very original city, in which there are many interesting places of memory that will interest his guests. We will introduce you to some of them in this article.

Blagoveshchensk: natural attractions. Lake near the village of Ivanovka

In this northern city and its environs there are many unique places that you should see. Usually it is to the lake near the village of Ivanovka that first of all visitors are brought to the excursionists who visited Blagoveshchensk. The sights of this city are described in many promotional brochures of travel agencies, but this lake must be seen with your own eyes.

It is located east of Blagoveshchensk (30 km). The locals call it a lake of lotuses, because here lotions are really bred. Every year thousands of tourists come here to admire this extraordinary beauty. Growing a lotus is not easy. This time-consuming work requires accurate research and calculations. To this exquisite plant, listed in the Red Book, took root in Ivanovka, the initiators of this idea (teachers of the local school) conducted painstaking work for five years. As a result, today the lake is decorated with more than two hundred magnificent plants, which are the visiting card of Blagoveshchensk.

Zeya Nature Reserve

The nature of these places enchants everyone who comes to Blagoveshchensk. It is impossible to describe the sights of the city without a reserve, located on the Tukuringsky ridge. It covers an area of more than eighty thousand hectares, which is crossed by fast mountain rivers - the inflows of the beautiful Zeya and the majestic Gilyui.

Zeysky Reserve is distinguished by a huge variety of plants, animals and birds. Many of them are listed in the Red Book. Work of scientists and protection of ecologists allowed to save many populations. This applies to lynx and roe deer, wolverine and sable, cedarwood and wood grouse, as well as Amur lemmings. Flora and fauna of the reserve has a pronounced taiga character. One part represents the mountain tundra - this is the mysterious kingdom of lichens, mosses and shrubs. The other part is a magnificent coniferous forest, smoothly turning into deciduous forest.

Historical monuments: the triumphal arch

And now we want to present you seven more sights of Blagoveshchensk (Bashkortostan), which tell about the history and culture of this northern city.

The first triumphal arch in Blagoveshchensk appeared in 1891. It was built in honor of the arrival of the heir to the throne, Nikolai Romanov, who later became the Russian Emperor Nicholas II. This was the only head of the Russian state, who traveled the whole country before taking office.

To his arrival in those days triumphal arches were built everywhere. The construction of Blagoveshchensk considerably exceeded in size and decoration similar structures of Vladivostok and Khabarovsk.

A triumphal arch was erected on the bank of the Amur River - near the pier, where they met the future emperor. These were twenty-meter high gates made of stone, which were crowned with towers with icons and double-headed eagles. This majestic structure was a decoration of the city waterfront for fifty years. In the last century the famous tsar's gates destroyed the strongest flood.

Unfortunately, there was practically nothing left of the arch on the riverbank - no plans, no drawings, only a few photographs. The city authorities decided to create the Victory Square on this site . Almost eighty years later, historians began talking about the restoration of the arch. The project of its reconstruction was developed from 2003 to 2005 from photographs stored in the city archive.

Surprisingly, during the construction it turned out that it was possible to accurately determine the place of the destroyed monument - when laying the foundation workers found an old base. Today this building is included in the list "Sights of Blagoveshchensk (Bashkortostan)".

Arch arch is a reinforced concrete structure whose weight is more than thirty tons. In the vault there are two ceramic icons: the face of Nikolai Strastterpets is facing towards China, and the icon of the Mother of God looks at the capital of the Amur region. Masonry is made of clay brick with the addition of brick (profile) from Krasnoyarsk.

Cathedral

It is impossible to imagine the sights of Blagoveshchensk without the Cathedral, which is the central church of the Annunciation diocese. His abbot is the ruling bishop, Archbishop Gabriel of Tyndi and Annunciation.

The temple was erected on a sacred place for many townspeople. It was here before 1980 was the first building of the city - St. Nicholas Church. The project of the cathedral was designed in a characteristic "brick" style, which was characteristic of the Orthodox churches of the late XIX century.

The magnificent structure is crowned with seven gilded domes. The eighth, gilded dome, crowns the bell tower. The height of the main dome (to the cross) is 38.85 meters, the bell tower is 32.5 meters high. The temple is designed for 540 worshipers, inside it is 21.12 meters high. It houses the main shrine of the Far East - Albazinskaya icon of the Mother of God, which appeared on the Amur coast in 1667.

Cultural monuments - Local History Museum

Sights of Blagoveshchensk, the description of which we cite in this article, attracts visitors with their diversity. For lovers of history and everyone who wants to know more about this city, we recommend to visit the Amur Museum named after. GS Novikova-Daursky (local history). It was founded in the distant 1891. The initiators of its creation were members of the Annunciation City Council.

The collection of the museum began to be formed from the exhibits, which was arranged by gold miners in honor of the arrival of Nikolai Romanov. After the visit, all the exhibits (models of gold-washing machines, mock-ups of mines, photographs and diagrams) were transferred to the city.

The museum is located in an old brick two-story building (an architectural monument of republican significance). In the first half of the XX century there was a store of a German trading company. The museum occupies 2 floors, the exhibits are located in 26 rooms. Today the museum's fund has more than 155 thousand exhibits, more than 120 thousand of which belong to the main fund.

Many museum items are unique: the attributes and costumes of the Evenki and Daurian shamans (XIX-XX centuries), the music box (Germany, XIX century) armor of the Japanese samurai of the XVIII century, the bones of prehistoric dinosaurs and mammoths.

Drama Theatre

Arriving in Blagoveshchensk, attractions you can find for every taste. Theaters will enjoy visiting the city's Drama Theater. It was founded in 1883. Then the first performance took place on the rented stage of the City Assembly, in which professional actors took part. After a successful production, the Public Assembly came to the conclusion that it was necessary to build a building for the city theater. It was built in 1886, and with funds, which mainly consisted of voluntary donations of citizens of all classes. In this building the troupe of the theater plays today.

A very spacious auditorium with excellent acoustics, a deep scene and comfortable facilities for artists, always inspired visiting entrepreneurs who invariably celebrated the refined theatrical taste of the local public. In 1920, the troupe was awarded state status.

For fourteen years (1948-1962), the Amur Drama Theater was directed by the Honored Artist of Russia NI Uralov. At this time, many foreign, Soviet, Russian classics were put up here.

The Amur Regional Theater of the Actor and the Dolls

Today many travelers come with children to Blagoveshchensk. Attractions of this city will please young guests. We advise you to visit this amazing puppet theater. He began his work in 1964. Its founder and first director was SI Bogorad, who came to Blagoveshchensk, having finished directing courses at the Central Puppet Theater.

His name is mentioned today in the history of the theater along with the most famous puppeteers of our country. At first the theater was called "Amurchonok". His first performances were "Harmful Vitamin" and "Capricious." In the first years the troupe did not have its own premises, it toured the clubs and children's institutions of villages and towns of the region. Today OG Goloschapov is working in the theater, who found a "traveling" period. Now he works as the main artist of the theater.

Later, the collective received the Small Hall of the city philharmonic society, and even later (in 1991) the whole building was given to it. In the 1960s and 1970s, the theater from the traditional theater was gradually transformed into a synthetic theater: puppets of various designs began to be used more often in performances. Together with the doll came on stage an artist who danced, sang, owned pantomime.

Original monuments - a bull statue

It is impossible not to say that Blagoveshchensk has very original monuments. Sightseeing (photo you can see below) of this city is rather harmoniously complemented by the Statue of the Bull, located on the embankment of the Amur. It was opened in late July 2014.

An unusual monument is made of scrap metal specially selected for this purpose. The author of the project is the sculptor A. Alekyan (Armenia). The creation of this sculpture took three months. In the work were used automobile automobile parts, metal springs, and also other parts, reliably fastened by welding. The works of this master decorate many different cities, among them Brussels, Moscow, Yerevan and others.

Monument to Chelnoku

And this unusual monument is a symbol of entrepreneurship of the late XX century. It is installed in front of the City Fair in 2008. The author of the project is the famous sculptor V. Razgonyaev. The monument is made of bronze. Its weight is two tons, and the height exceeds two meters. The design was cast in parts, and then the individual elements were adjusted to each other. Experts believe that this is truly a jeweler's job - there are no seams on the monument at all.

This is a collective image of local entrepreneurs of the late XX century. "Shuttles" from Blagoveshchensk went to China, bought goods, brought it to Russia and sold it. Quite a lot of companies, today established in the market, in due time were created precisely by "shuttle traders".

Sculpture is a man who holds in one hand a bullet of incredible size, and the other hand holds an impressive size box on his shoulder. An intelligent and serious person, glasses, tired look - this is how the initiators of the project saw the Amur "shuttle".
