Origami story or paper song

Origami originated in China. They invented a paper, the technology of which was kept secret for a long time. As the story of origami tells, the first figures began to be folded monks in Confucian and Taoist monasteries. There is an explanation for this: the monks were allowed to practice these images, and the "paper" in Chinese sounds like "God." True, these words are denoted by different hieroglyphs. Gradually, figures began to take great religious significance, and over time turned into entertaining leisure and became known throughout the world. But gradually interest began to fade away, and the story of origami began to be forgotten.

The boom of popularity, one can even say that their origins, origami figures survived after the Second World War thanks to a Japanese girl. Her name is Sadako Sasaki. During the war, she lived in Hiroshima, and when the Americans attacked the city, the girl's parents died. She herself became ill with radiation sickness, and, lying in the hospital, began to fold paper cranes, hoping that when she made a thousand, her every wish would come true. In Japan there is such a belief. But she did not manage to lay down all the cranes, only made a little more than 600 pieces. Later her story became known to the whole world, and children from different countries began to send their cranes to the museum.

Also after the war, Akiro Yoshizawa created the famous "origami alphabet", which is still used today in all books that describe the art and history of origami.

Below we will talk about two figures of origami - a hexagon and a plate.

Hexagon Origami. To make a regular hexagon, "honeycomb", is quite difficult. Constantly then the angle is not as it should be, the length of the side can not be adjusted in any way. Origami allows you to make a regular hexagon of paper in just five minutes.

1.Perem square piece of paper.

2. We draw diagonals on this square.

3. Mark the middle of the right side.

4. Then you have to return the right angle to its previous position.

5. The upper part of the right side is divided into two equal parts. For convenience, the basting is combined with the right angle. Both bows should be parallel to the right side.

6. Bend the right corner gently so that the entire bend line passes from the middle part of the base and our bows coincide.

7. We turn to the other side.

8. Curl the right corner accurately, the fold line comes from the base. And the underside of the right corner coincides with the left side.

9. Bend the triangle.

10. Return the upper triangle to its original position.

11. On the line marked earlier, cut off the upper part.

12. Now we straighten out what happened, that's all. Hexagon is ready.

Origami plate. It can be collected in just 15 minutes, and it will be an ornament of your table. You will need 996 single small paper modules: 356 white, 301 blue, 339 yellow.

1. We collect all ready-made modules in a chain.

2. Then we close the chain in a circle, receiving two rows of 42 modules in each of them.

3. Now we collect the next row, in which we alternate five blue and one yellow.

4. The next - four blue, two yellow.

5. In each successive row, 1 blue is subtracted, and yellow is inserted only at the edges, not filling the middle.

6. Two yellow parts between the corner pieces tightly connect the white module.

7. Lay out the white modules, rising to the top of the corner element.

8. Between these fragments we put six white modules on each other in a column.

9. We increase the number of modules on the vertices of the fragments, connecting these columns with each other. Should be an element in the form of an arch. This should be repeated around the perimeter of the product.

10. We connect two white modules between the corner parts - yellow.

11. Now, in the same exact way we lay out the blue modules on the edge.

You should get such a "work of art".
