The first mention of tennis was found in the 11th century AD. E., although what was then, still looked a bit like modern big tennis. Then tennis did not have its modern attributes: a ball, a grid, a racket. But, like any sport, in the process of evolution, it has acquired everything that is present in it today. Tennis gained its popularity and penetrated all corners of the world. And in 1896, at the Summer Olympics, this sport was included in the program of competitions. Today it is one of the developed sports in the world, in which, undoubtedly, there are heroes. For example, Monica Seles, Maria Sharapova, Steffi Graf - athletes who have already made a name for themselves, and they are known all over the world. But the young people do not lag behind their older comrades: Gavrilova Darya, Olga Govortsova and Belinda Bencic. Today, more details will be about the Belarusian athlete Olga Govortsova.

Childhood

On August 23, 1988, a joyful event happened in the family of the Govortsovs living in Pinsk (USSR, now Belarus): Olga's daughter was born. For the parents of Olga, Tatyana and Andrey, she is the only daughter in the family, but they also have two sons - Ilya and Alexander. Parents cared about the girl and at 6 years old decided to attract her to the sport. Their choice fell on tennis - so they, without knowing it, determined the fate of their daughter.
