Historical reference

The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Konkovo has a rather long history. The first mention of the church is recorded in the patch book of the Patriarchal Order of the State. It is here that the exact date is indicated, when the construction of the house church was begun and completed.

The Church of the Trinity of the Life-giving in Konkovo was erected in 1690. Until now, there is no exact information about who is the founder of the building. According to various sources, efforts were made to build the cult institution. Golovkin and S.F. Tolochanov. The main throne of the Orthodox cathedral was consecrated in honor of Sergius of Radonezh, and the chapels of the church - in honor of St. Philip and the Deposition.

Initially, the parish was absent from the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity. The temple in Konkovo was a brownie. However, at the end of the 18th century, and to be precise, in 1772 the cathedral became a parish church. This became possible after two small settlements were attributed to the religious building: Belyaevo-Dolnee and Derevlevo.

The Soviet period in the history of the church

During the Soviet period, the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity waited for destruction, partial destruction and seizure of valuables. The temple in Konkovo was closed in 1939. Orthodox crosses were knocked down from the facade of the building, the head and the drum were completely destroyed. Bells, church books and scriptures were confiscated from the belfry.

Restoration of the temple occurred only in 1990. With the help of sponsorship funds and donations, the original appearance was reconstructed. In the Sunday school, 14 teachers teach. Lessons are held on Saturday, from 10 am. The educational course includes both church-wide subjects and additional creative lessons. Students receive knowledge about the Holy Scripture, about conducting divine services, liturgy, studying the Old Slavonic language, the history of the Orthodox Church. Increased attention is paid to iconology, patrology and church singing.

Sunday School pays great attention to the creative development of students. In particular, during lessons there are lessons of needlework, acting. Students take part in Orthodox performances, perform spiritual singing on major religious holidays.

Social activities of the temple

He takes an active part in the social life of the community and the Trinity Life-Giving Church in Konkovo.
