It should be noted that Nikah is a rite that is held not only between Muslims. For example, marriage between a Muslim and a woman who professes another faith is permitted. But in this case the children who are born in such a family should be brought up only according to the Koran.

After marriage, the husband and wife have 4 main responsibilities:

- a husband and wife should enter into an intimate relationship at least once for 4 months.
