How to get there?

The easiest way to get to the museum is by metro. You get on the ring line and get off at the Prospekt Mira station. It is not far from the very center of the capital. After leaving the underground passage, you do not need to cross the street, go along the even side of the avenue in the direction of the Garden Ring. About two minutes walk away is the Silver Age Museum - Mira, 30.

The schedule of the museum is very convenient. In the week there is only one day off, traditionally this is Monday. It is also important to get on a sanitary day - it is held on the last day of every month.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, the museum opens its doors at 11 am. Expositions can be inspected until 6 pm. On Thursdays and Fridays the museum seems to work on the second shift - from 14 to 21 hours. It is also worth remembering that on all days the ticket office closes half an hour before the end of the institution's work.

Exposition features

The house, which houses the Silver Age Museum, was rebuilt from a wooden mansion in 1910. Made this merchant Baev, who was engaged in selling shoes. The architect of the project was the famous at the time capital master Chagin.

In the same year, 1910, on the ground floor, the apartment was rented by the poet Valery Bryusov. The building itself never belonged to the poet, but in the people behind him the nickname "Bryusov's house" was fixed.

It was founded in 1987. For a long time remained the only museum in which you could learn in detail about the greatest poets of the early twentieth century - Anna Akhmatova and the Gumilev family.

In chronological order, nine exposition halls are built here - from Akhmatova's youth in Tsarskoye Selo, through the period spent in the "Stray Dog", to her main works - "Requiem" and "Poem Without a Hero". The exposition closes the memory room of the poet.

The museum works with a single weekend - Sunday. It opens daily at 10 am. From Monday to Thursday, it works until 18:00, Friday to 17, and on Saturday to 16:30. The ticket office closes an hour before the end of the work.
