Miles Kane - Biography and Creativity

Miles Kane was born in the spring of 1986 in the county of Merseyside. Miles was one child in the family, and after the divorce his parents brought him up. The musician remembers that she had an excellent taste - at home there were records of English rock bands T. Rex and The Beatles, as well as representatives of the United States, who acted under the label Motown Records. Already in his childhood, Miles Kane decided to become a musician.

Biography

In school years, our hero was very fond of the theme from the cartoon "The Pink Panther" and therefore began to master the saxophone in the early years. But when he was thirteen, the mother's sister gave the boy a Spanish guitar. As Miles Kane says in one interview, he fell in love with this musical instrument, and left the saxophone. In those years, as the musician remembers, he dreamed of becoming a rock star. He was inspired by Liam Gallagher and Richard Ashcroft. At the age of eighteen he started playing in a young band from the town of Hoyleik - The Little Flames. In this period Alex Turner and Miles Kane met for the first time. "Ogonki" performed in 2005 on the opening of the group Arctic Monkeys. In 2007, the collective, in which the musical career of our hero began, broke up without releasing a single album.

Soon Miles Kane with two former musicians of "Ogonyok" - bass guitarist Joe Edwards and drummer Greg Mikkhol - created the band - The Rascals. The lyrics for the songs in the new collective were written by our hero, he was also a vocalist. At the end of 2007, the light saw their debut mini-album. And in the summer of 2008 came out the only Rascalize disc, which includes 14 songs. At the same time, another mini-album of the band was released. The musicians took part in the creation of the feature film Awaydays ("The Bygone Time"). His action unfolded in the late 70's in a suburb of Liverpool, the places where all three of these people grew up. In the film, Kane and his comrades played the musicians of the time group Echo & the Bunnymen, performing her song All That Jazz.

In 2009, Kane's second rock band broke up and he decided to start a solo career. In 2010-2011 Miles created several singles, performed with solo concerts, and also together with other musicians. In May 2011, Kane's debut album, The Color of the Trap, was released, and two years later, the second one was released - Do not Forget Who You Are. In the recording of one song of Miles's first album, Noel Gallagher took part. And Happenstance was performed by Kane together with the French actress Clemence Poesy.

Scott Walker

Miles Kane, teaming with The Arctic Monkeys vocalist Alex Turner, in 2007 founded the supergroup The Last Shadow Puppets. In this project, they focused on rock music of the UK in the 1960s, in particular the work of Scott Walker. In March 2008, New York's Brooklyn hosted a new band's concert, and on April 21, 2008, music lovers had an opportunity to evaluate their first album. Later the activity of the collective faded. But in 2016, started new projects of the association, founded by two vocalists. In December 2015, there was information about the work of the band on the new album, and in January 2016 the first single was released. Later three more were added to him. And finally, on April 1, 2016, the long-awaited release of the band's second album, Everything You've Come to Expect, took place, which included eleven songs.

Miles Kane, whose personal life has often attracted the attention of the press, is not married. In 2009, according to media reports, he had an affair with a model from England, Agnes Dane. Then with the movie actress and model Sookie Waterhouse, who in one of the interviews of that period he called the love of his life. Also, the musician met with a girl from Iceland Tinna Bergs.
