Metro station "Mitino" is a station I love

Metro "Mitino" ... Residents of large cities probably know that there are such stations that, in general, seemingly outwardly unremarkable, and as if nothing in them is so special, but it is only there that they find themselves, like something Warm and insanely expensive rolls and freezes in the chest. Why? Most likely, this place is associated with childhood memories, and perhaps, in this place still live close and dear to us people.

In my case, this is exactly the case. I watched for a very long time how the metro station "Mitino" was being built, imagined how I would see its design among the first, and now I just want to come there, because Every trip automatically means a long-awaited meeting.

Section 1. General information and history .

Mitino is considered a fairly large sleeping quarters of the capital, and the need to improve its transport interchange was brewing long enough. Launched in December 2009, the 180th metro station "Mitino" is considered one of the youngest in the capital.

The construction began in early 1992, but already in 1995 it was decided to temporarily freeze construction due to lack of funds.

And only after 13 years the city administration ordered to continue the planned. Initially, the surrender of Mitino was planned for 2011, but with incredible efforts and diligence of the builders it was possible to do this even two years earlier.

Moreover, as a result, the residents of the district got into operation three stations at once. And for today as a whole Mitinsky site consists of three large underground transport nodes: "Myakinino", "Volokolamskaya" and "Mitino". They and have increased a branch at once almost on 6 km.

Section 2. Station Mitino. How does it look from the inside?

Now Mitino is a metro located in the very center of the same area, at the intersection of two streets of busy streets: Mitinskaya and Dubravnaya. It is the terminal station of the longest Arbat-Pokrovskaya line.

Marble and concrete, which were used in the construction of the station, are traditional materials for both construction and decoration of such objects.

The lobby has no remarkable design, but during the construction of the landing platform several technical innovations were used at once. The most successful of them, perhaps, is a special LED strip, which is necessary in order to denote the edge of the platform. It is arranged in such a way that when the train arrives the light fades smoothly, and when it is sent again it becomes brighter. In addition, for the convenience of passengers and space saving, it was decided not to place ticket offices in the main room. They were taken to the underground passage.

The station has a single-vaulted structure and is considered a shallow construction. Its depth is only 14 m. Mitino is the only metro in Moscow, which has 10 exits at once: 3 in the eastern lobby and 7 in the western lobby, and three elevators have also been built for the convenience of passengers with disabilities.

Under the underground passages you can get to the street. Mitinskaya Str. Dubravnaya and 2-nd Mitinsky lane.

Section 3. Metro Mitino. What can you see in the vicinity?

For the sake of exploring the capital's sights, you definitely should not go this way. There is nothing special, and the station is designed strictly to improve the transport support of a huge residential area. Although those who are interested in modern architecture, most likely, it is really necessary to go here to take a ride on the metro bridge or get acquainted with the station itself, which is the latest design of this kind. Here, perhaps, that's all.

Many residents of the surrounding areas come here to visit one of the city's largest radio markets or the company to watch a new film in a modern cinema with very democratic prices.

By the way, it should be remembered that on even days of the month the subway starts its work at 5:45, and on odd fifteen minutes earlier. The same station closes every night.
