Vitaly Daraselia was born in 1957 in Ochamchira, where he started playing football at the school of the same name. Very little is known about his performances for this club - in addition to the fact that at the age of 16 he had already managed to break into the base, thanks to which he was noticed by one of the largest and strongest clubs on the territory of the Soviet Union - the Tbilisi "Dinamo". And at the age of 17 Vitaly Daraselia has already moved to a new club, where he quickly began to win a place in the basis, and at the same time respect and admiration.

So, in 1975, a new star appeared on the Soviet football horizon - central midfielder Vitaly Daraselia. Footballer pretty quickly settled in the new club and went to a place in the first team. Very quickly, the young player became the key player in Dynamo, which led to the fact that over the past seven years he had played 192 matches in the club, scoring 26 goals - an impressive figure for the player of the midfield center, who, moreover, often performed defensive Function.

In 1976, he helped his club win the USSR Cup, the following year, the Dynamo was not enough to win the USSR Championship, but in 1978 everything fell into place, and Daraselia, who reached the peak of the form, helped the club win the championship , And the next year and repeat the success of 1976 - win the USSR Cup for the second time.

From 1978 to 1982, Daraselia Vitaly Kukhinovich five times in a row was on the list of 33 best players of the year in the world. But most importantly, his achievement, which made the player a real legend, happened in 1981 - just then Tbilisi "Dynamo" won the Cup of Cups, the most prestigious club tournament of that time. Outstanding was the fact that it was Daraselia who brought his club a victory and a trophy, scoring the decisive goal three minutes before the end of the match.

Career in the USSR national team

Naturally, such a talent did not go unnoticed, and despite the fact that the USSR was simply huge and, accordingly, had an incredible choice of players, Daraselia was summoned to the national team already in 1979 at the age of 21 years. For four years, the midfielder managed to play 22 games, which scored three goals. But before that, Daraselia became the European champion in the youth national team of the USSR in 1976, and after that he achieved the same result in 1980 with the USSR youth team. In 1982, he went with his team to the World Cup, which became unsuccessful for the USSR - the team reached the second group stage, where they missed the chance to reach the semifinals, having passed Poland ahead only on the difference between the goals scored and conceded goals - the Soviet Union tied with Poland, But beat Belgium only 1: 0, while the Poles defeated the Belgians 3-0. Unfortunately, this tournament was the last for the brilliant Georgian midfielder.

The tragic death

In 1982, FC Dynamo (Tbilisi) and the USSR national team lost one of the most talented midfielders in history. At the age of 25, he died tragically. Vitaly bought a new car, which he decided to test in extreme conditions - driving through the mountains in Zestafoni. Together with Vitaly, an experienced instructor drove to ensure his safety on narrow mountain roads. Everything went well, while at one point Vitali failed to manage, the car flew off the track and from a great height collapsed directly into the mountain river. The instructor died on the spot, and his body was found in the car. Daraselia only lost consciousness, so he was blown away by a powerful stream of a mountain river - in search of a football player a large number of people were thrown, and in thirteen days the body of the deceased Vitali was found. So the world lost one of the most talented football players, who could help the club and the national team for a long time to obtain trophies, if not for this accident.
