To minimize the impact of electric current, for example, when striking lightning, a special metal strip is used: galvanized or stainless steel. Such material is necessary as a protection for various wires and cables that are located in residential complexes. In addition, such a strip can be used to output voltage in pipelines. This helps to increase the longevity of the pipes, while reducing the effect of corrosion.

It should be noted that the metal strip can be used to reduce the risk of electric shock to people and to relieve the stress of natural origin. To do this, a large circle is built of it, which is installed in the ground at a depth of 0.5 meters along the entire perimeter. Due to the coating of the metal strip with zinc or stainless steel its service life is increased by 30-50 years.

When using electricity, there is always a high probability of occurrence of dangerous situations for a person. Therefore, in order to avoid trouble, a metal strip is used - it is a reliable tool that should be used when conducting electricity in homes and in industry. For a grounding device in the house, in addition to such a strip, it is necessary to purchase a distribution power shield, a grounding electrode, wires and electrical appliances.

In addition, the metal strip may not be used for grounding, if natural earthers are used for safety in the house: water pipes, building frames (from metal), but in case they come into contact with the ground, as well as well pipes. When using such natural earthing switches, it is necessary to output a special tap, namely to lay a grounding special wire from the structure to the bus of the electrical board. The tap is connected with bolts or welding.

For a grounding device, it is first necessary to excavate a trench, which will run from the object to the location of the special contour. On the site of this contour, the trench will take the form of a triangle, at each vertex of which it is necessary to drill the wells to a depth of three meters. Then a strip of stainless steel or zinc coated is laid, as well as steel rods are hammered. To reduce the resistance of the circuit, it is additionally connected to a metal fence or supports. The welding places are covered with bituminous varnish in order to avoid corrosion.

And lastly, if three-phase electricity is carried to the house from the overhead power line , then not only the grounding strip is used, but also an additional protection means - a zero conductor at the input to the power shield. This device is necessarily connected to the ground loop. It is very convenient and economical in terms of money to make a contour at the stage of laying the foundation or drainage system.
