Martha Stewart is a woman who never gives up

Gone are the days when a woman was obliged not only to pull on herself all the cares about the au pair, to look after the children and at the same time without fail to work somewhere else. Today, many ladies deliberately choose "wife's career", giving her husband a family, they themselves devote themselves to the creation of home comfort and the upbringing of children. And although in our country some still traditionally cast a sidelong glance at housewives, calling them crocks, in more developed countries such women are treated with great respect.

In addition, some of the housewives often even open their own business for selling homemade cakes, clothes and jewelry made by themselves, and so on. However, Martha Stewart - a housewife from the United States, went the farthest. This amazing woman was able to create a whole business empire, thanks to her passion for economics.

Martha Stewart: Early Years

Parents Martha Stewart were immigrants from Poland. The family had six children, and the parents were struggling to make ends meet. Therefore, since childhood, Martha was looking for ways to earn extra money. Her mother perfectly prepared and sewed and taught this and her talented baby. So almost from the very childhood of Marta Kostyr (maiden name) was engaged in selling homemade cakes. Over time, the girl mastered and gardening. Although making and selling pies took a lot of time, Martha Stewart managed to have a good time at school. This allowed the girl after her graduation to continue her education at the private Bernard College for girls.

Martha Stewart: Career Model

In addition to the golden hands and the mind, Martha also had a pleasant appearance. Thanks to this, from the age of thirteen she began to appear in photo shoots for various periodicals and TV programs. After continuing her studies at the college, Martha Stewart (photos of the girl were decorated with many magazines, and in 1960 Glamor brought pretty Martha to the list of the ten most elegantly dressed students of the USA) continued to work as a model. In 1961, law student at Yale University Andy Stewart made a proposal to Martha, and soon she became his wife. Despite a successful marriage, until the end of her studies and birth, her daughter Alexis Marta Stewart continued her modeling career.

Marriage and career of a broker

Having given birth to Alexis, Mrs. Stewart devoted herself to housekeeping. The next two years she happily lived in a family circle. It seemed that the spouses Andy and Martha Stewart (photo below) will continue to live and continue. But the financial problems of Andy's father forced his wife to look for new ways of earning money. In 1967, Andy's father helps Martha get a job as a broker on the stock exchange. Mrs. Stewart quickly assimilates in this area. Soon, Martha Stewart, many already know as a good broker, earning decent money. Unfortunately, the success on the stock exchange did not last long. A few years later, due to the colossal fall in the share price on Wall Street, it is losing money to many of its customers and its own savings. This failure made the Stuart family move to live in the suburbs, and Martha Stewart turned herself into a housewife again.

Housewife and Businesswoman

Settled in a new place, Martha quickly became accustomed and became a frequent visitor to local fairs. On them, as a child, she began to sell her homemade cakes. Later, an enterprising woman realized that it was necessary to expand, and organized a small company to prepare home parties for parties. Martha Stewart's affairs were so successful that she opened her own store. In addition, this woman began to decorate houses and succeeded well. After a while her recipes and advice on housekeeping began to print the most famous magazines and newspapers. Then Mrs. Stewart publishes her own book of housekeeping tips "How to receive guests." She brings even more popularity to Martha, and she continues to write and publish new books. In addition, she is invited to participate in various TV shows, in particular in the program of the cult leader of Oprah. Over time, Martha Stewart signs a contract with one of the supermarket chains Kmart and advertises their products. Having achieved the fact that her name becomes synonymous with reliable and high-quality goods and advice on housekeeping, she begins to publish her own magazine "Life on Martha Stewart", and after a TV show of a similar format.

In the same period, Martha's husband divorces her. Although this has a negative impact on Stewart's reputation, she continues her business. A few years later, she is expanding her business and is starting to publish another magazine, "Weddings by Martha Stewart."

In 1997, this business lady manages to found her own company Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and by the beginning of the two thousandth, Martha's fortune is estimated at one billion dollars.

Imprisonment and career continuation

Despite the problems with her personal life, Martha Stewart met the new millennium as a successful and rich woman. But when everything was adjusted and it began to seem that life was a success, another misfortune happened.

In 2001, a billionaire housewife was accused of illegally conducting business and using insider data. The fact is that Martha Stewart owned a large number of shares of ImClone Systems. Having learned about the problems of the company earlier than it was announced in the news, Marta and several other shareholders hurried to get rid of them before the news of the scandal would lower their market value. An investigation was launched, Marta was found guilty and had to stay in prison for five months.

During her imprisonment, her company's shares fell in price, and her name was disgraced, and after all, reputation was the main asset of her company.

Like her famous single-mother, Queen of Scotland, Mary Stewart (a biography from this person's photo is found in almost every textbook of world history), she left her imprisonment and found her empire in a deplorable state. Shares of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia fell catastrophically in price, its TV show was closed, and a huge mass of its admirers turned away from it. Despite this, Stewart does not give up and actively continues to fight for his business.

Noteworthy is the fact that, although the majority has written off this remarkable woman from the accounts, she still manages to make herself known. For example, the sitcom "Two girls in shallows" invited Martha to withdraw in one of the episodes. In addition, tabloids ascribe her numerous novels with the stars.

The fate of this amazing woman is the embodiment of a fairy tale about Cinderella: from a simple girl from an immigrant family - to the owner of a business empire. Martha Stewart had both ups and downs, but she always tried to make a delicious lemonade, even from the bitterest lemon that shoved her fate. And even today, when her image of an exemplary law-abiding housewife is debunked, she does not cease to demonstrate firmness of spirit and the ability to overcome all adversity.
