Lyubov Voronkova is a writer of Soviet times, whose good works have brought up more than one generation of children. In addition to stories and stories for a young audience, the talented writer was fascinatingly writing exciting historical novels that carried readers to the long-gone times.

Voronkova Lyubov Fyodorovna: biography

September 17, 1906 - the birthday of the native Muscovite Lyubov Voronkova. The girl grew very talented and since childhood she was very fond of drawing. The most expensive gift for her was an ordinary box of pencils, which opened the way to the boundless world of fantasy. Bearing the dream of becoming a famous artist, Lyuba entered the Stroganov School. However, my favorite classes soon had to be interrupted: the hard and hungry times prompted a large family of girls to seek a place where they could survive. The choice fell on the Moscow region of Koskovo.

A family of 7 people huddled in a small hut and was fed by heavy peasant labor, which had to be accustomed and fragile 12-year-old Luba. However, the work of the girl was not a burden, since it was the only means of sustenance. Life in rural open spaces opened to the girl all the beauty of Russian nature, instilled a love for the land and people working on it. In the breaks between domestic cares the future writer is many and read with great ecstasy. The accumulated impressions and the desire to share their thoughts with the world prompted the talented author to take up the pen.

The beginning of literary activity

The first publication - poems about the servant Varvara, was held in the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. It happened on the return of Lyuba to the capital, where she plunged into journalistic life, traveled a lot and often around the country and wrote about the workers, whose work was familiar not by hearsay. In 1940, Voronkov's first book, Shurka, consisted of 11 stories. However, the war came - the time of completely different heroes.

Love Voronkova began to write about that terrible time, radically changed the life of the whole country, or rather the whole world. One after another, books about the war time began to be issued from under the writer's pen: "A Girl from the City", "The Village of Gorodishche", "Dashing Days", "Forest Hut".

Especially in the hearts of readers sunk story "Girl from the City", written in 1943, because she told us about what in the military and post-war time faced each person: about charity, mutual assistance, kindness, honesty, humanity. Her heroine is the town girl Valyusha, who was left without her parents and came from a rural family with three children. This is the life story of ordinary people who managed to survive in that terrible war and who did not lose the most important human qualities: responsiveness and faith in themselves and people.

About war. About people. About future

"Village Gorodishche" - a book about the war, quite in demand among the readership. The idea of its creation arose when Lyubov Voronkova in the editorial board of Pionerskaya Pravda suggested writing an essay on how life in towns and villages liberated from fascist invaders is getting better.

Immediately after going on a difficult trip, Lyubov Voronkova saw horrible pictures: villages, burnt to the ground, with sticking out skeletons from the stoves, charred trees and stumps from them, mined fields, blown up cars and people returning home, exhausted, undressed, half-starved. Strong in spirit and not broken by the war, they are full of the desire to quickly establish life on the ruined land. There were too many impressions for one essay, so Love decided to share them in a separate book - "The Village of Gorodishche". In it, she showed the courage and labor heroism of a Soviet man, his dreams of a happy and peaceful future without war.

Under the peaceful sky

In a world without war, Lyubov Fyodorovna Voronkova began to write books of a completely different content. They are "Sunny Day", "Magic Beach", "Snow is coming", "Star Commander", "Fedya and Danilka", "Golden Keys", "Masha-rasteryasha". In the work "Girlfriends go to school", interestingly tells about two village girls Alenka and Tanya, in all helping adults and living an interesting life with her daily adventures. Lyubov Voronkova endowed all her heroes with sincerity, pure heart, intelligence, kindness, and also ability to compassion. From the pages of the books the author does not get tired of talking about a strong friendship, honesty in everything, love for the Motherland.

According to the works of Lyubov Feodorovna, it is easy to guess how her contemporaries lived, what they thought, what worried them. Some books are addressed to the older generation and are built on a documentary basis: "Where is your home?", "Restless man", "Altai story", in which the author told about the inhabitants of the Altai Mountains, the land of incredible beauty, and development in this northern gardening region.

Just a good person

Love Voronkova, whose biography is interesting to the modern readership - a man to whom people always dragged. To her came with grief, and Lyubov Fyodorovna could say the right sincere words of consolation. Compassion was read in her gaze, and the man who came was like throwing off his heavy load from his shoulders. The Soviet writer, who was characterized by tremendous zest for life, took someone else's joy for her own, so she was approached for support and advice. Especially often, Voronkova was approached by novice authors. If their works were somewhat unsuccessful, Lyubov Fiodorovna, gently pointing out the flaws, said that we should try a little more. A talented young writers very praised and rejoiced at their success.

Plunge into history

Shortly before his death, Love Voronkova began writing historical novels dedicated to King Cyrus, Alexander the Great, the legendary Themistocles. Before writing the author for a long time tuned, carefully studied the historical material about the time, which she was going to display in her works. Even went to Central Asia, where I tried to recharge my knowledge, inspiration. The result of the trip was a book about the life of Uzbek children "The Garden Under the Clouds".

In 1969, a book was published that included two historical stories - The Messenian Wars (about the people from the small country of Messenia, who fought heroically for their freedom) and the Trail of the Fiery Life (about Cyrus the Great and his interesting fate). The book, unlike her previous works, told of an ancient, sunk into eternity world. Studying a large number of historical materials, the author tried to convey to the reader the knowledge gained, bringing the epoch closer.

Then, from the pen, came the long-awaited historical books, "The Son of Zeus" (about the childhood and youth years of the Macedonian king), "In the depths of the centuries" (about his campaigns and the creation of the state) and "Hero of Salamis" (about Themistokle - the Athenian commander of the Greco- Persian wars).

There was no Soviet writer, a beautiful woman, a bright man on January 20, 1976.
