Lucas Podolski - the owner of the strongest blow in the world

Lucas Podolski is a German football player of Polish descent who is a real legend of the "Cologne", but at the same time he performed at a higher level - in clubs such as the Munich "Bavaria" and the London "Arsenal". This versatile attack is best known for his crazy blow - at the 2010 World Cup he set a record, scoring a goal against the Australian team. The speed of the ball in this case was 201 kilometers per hour. Lucas Podolski, of course, is famous not only for this, so you should get acquainted with how his playing career developed.

Carier start

Lucas Podolski was born in Poland on June 4, 1985, but at an early age he moved to Germany, where he joined the football academy of the Bergheim club at the age of six. There he spent four years before he had the opportunity to go on promotion and join the academy of the stronger club "Cologne". Eight years he was in the club system, speaking for different age categories of the youth composition, and in 2003 he signed a professional contract with the club and began to speak for the adult team. Already in the first season, he showed what he is capable of attacking - leaving the field only twenty times, he hit the opponent's gate with ten goals. The second season, when the "Cologne" was in the Second Bundesliga, gave Podolski an opportunity to reveal himself - in 32 games he scored 29 goals, becoming the top scorer of the championship and allowed "Cologne" to return to the First Bundesliga. But at such a high level, he continued to show good results, scoring 12 goals in the next year. This he drew the attention of the strongest club in Germany and one of the most powerful clubs in the world, the Munich "Bavaria". In the summer of 2006, Lucas Podolski moved to Bavaria for ten million euros.

Going to "Bavaria"

During the transfer an unforeseen event occurred. Lucas Podolski was considered as the base player, but at first he could not quite fit into the game at this level, and then the Italian scorer Luca Toni was bought , which left Podolski with a minimum of game practice. But despite this, for three years in "Bavaria" striker played in 106 games, scoring 26 goals and winning the German Championship, the Cup of the same country and the League Cup. In 2009, it became clear that Lucas is not progressing and is not included in the further plans of the Munich club, so he decided to return to "Cologne", which paid the same ten million for his star.

Return to Cologne

Lukas Podolski - a rather high level football player - even though he is not a star and was not good enough for a club like Bayern, the striker still could not stay long in "Cologne", which obviously hampered his potential. As a result, he spent three more years in his native club, playing in 96 games and scoring 35 goals. During this time there were teams who would like to get an experienced player attack. Soon fifteen million for him paid "Arsenal", and Lucas Podolsky moved to England.

The game for Arsenal, rent in Inter

The first two seasons Podolski often went on the field and was a fairly important member of the team. He played in 76 games and scored 28 goals. But the third season in the Arsenal he did not ask - the leadership was disappointed in the German, and after he had only 13 games in the first half of the season, scoring only three goals, it was decided to give him a lease. Volunteer was the Milan "Inter", which paid 600 thousand euros for rent with the possibility of a buyout in six months. However Podolski's performances in "Inter" left much to be desired - he went to the field 18 times, scoring only one goal. As a result, Inter refused to buy Lucas, and Arsenal had to find another club urgently to accept the German.

Moving to Turkey

In the summer of 2015, for two and a half million euros, Podolski moved to the Galatasaray, where he showed a good result - going to the field in 43 games, he scored 17 goals. This season, Lucas played only two games, scoring two goals.

National team appearances

For the national team of Germany, Lukas Podolski played 129 matches, with the result of 48 goals. He was with the team at all major tournaments from 2004 to 2016, that is, at four European Championships and three World Championships. The shock of Lukas Podolski at the World Championship 2010 still remains the strongest - the ball was dispersed to 201 kilometers per hour, when Podolski attacked the gate of the Australian team.
