One of such creations is the Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed. At the base of the temple is a quadrangle, but it is noteworthy that there is no symmetry in it. All of his churches are unique and do not resemble each other, which gives him even greater unusualness and grandeur. Four of them - small churches - located on the sides, four more - more - are closer to the center. In the center stands the majestic Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin. The tent vault fascinates you when you stand under its top and look up. In addition to the main dome, the church is also crowned with a small "command post". Despite the fact that the structure itself is large enough, it does not look bulky and heavy, but on the contrary, it seems easy and airy, because all architectural lines here aspire skywards, and bright and clean tones enhance the effect.

The cathedral is harmoniously combined with the red brick wall of the Kremlin. He is like that from the outside. And what is inside?

The interior decoration of the temple is amazing: rare and ancient icons, intricate painting, floral ornaments, picturesque and realistic frescoes on the vaults, quaint carvings on the iconostasis, soft natural lighting that descends from heaven.
