Levonot medicine. Instructions for use

The antibiotic "Levone 500" belongs to a group of new generation fluoroquinolones. The active ingredient is levofloxacin hemihydrate. The preparation is produced in the form of tablets and a solution for infusions.

The drug has an antimicrobial, bactericidal effect.

The drug "Levolet" instructions for use recommends for infectious and inflammatory diseases, the occurrence of which is associated with the activity of sensitive microbes.

Indications include community-acquired pneumonia, complicated and uncomplicated lesions of the kidney and urinary tract (including pyelonephritis). "Levolete" medication recommends the use of the drug (as part of combination therapy) for drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis. Indications include prostatitis (bacterial as well), bacteremia (septicemia), caused by the above pathologies. The drug is used for intra-abdominal infection.

In addition, the tablet form is prescribed for acute sinusitis and lesions in the ENT organs. The drug is prescribed for infections on the skin, in the lower respiratory tract (with exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, for example), as well as in lesions in soft tissues.

The drug "Levolet" instructions for use does not allow for the appointment in pregnancy, epilepsy, individual intolerance, in childhood (up to eighteen years). Contraindications include lesions in the tendons, due to the use of quinolones in the history. Do not prescribe the drug "Levot" (the doctors' reviews are unambiguous in this) during lactation.

With caution the agent is taken in old age, as well as with a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

In rare cases, there may be an allergic reaction, tendonitis and other tendon lesions (including ruptures), muscle weakness, urticaria, photosensitivity, anaphylactic shock.

Side effects include superinfection, bronchospasm, allergic pneumonitis. With the administration of the solution, the occurrence of pain, redness and other local reactions is likely.

Dosages of the drug "Levolet" are set by the attending physician in accordance with the severity and nature of the lesion, as well as the degree of sensitivity of the pathogen.

Tablets are taken orally before meals. The drug should not be chewed or crushed.

When sinusitis is recommended once a day for 500 mg. Duration of the drug from ten days to two weeks.

With an exacerbation of bronchitis, the dosage is 250-500 mg. Take the drug should be once a day for ten to fourteen days.

For lesions on the skin and in soft tissues, 250 mg once or twice a day (or 500 mg once a day) is recommended. The therapy lasts ten to fourteen days.

With community-acquired pneumonia, 500 mg is recommended no more than twice a day. Duration of use - a week or two.

In uncomplicated pathologies in the urinary tract (including pyelonephritis) 250 mg are recommended once a day. The duration of treatment is 7-10 days.
