Let's talk about how to crochet a sock from multi-colored motifs

How to tie socks, if you do not own knitting needles? Very simple! You buy yarn, select the appropriate hook and choose the model of the desired model. Hooks can be made openwork and warm tracks, slippers, sandals, sneakers, shoes and even boots! This is possible thanks to a special technique that allows you to keep any shape. So, today we'll tell you how to crochet a sock.

Varieties of models

Depending on the technique of knitting, conditionally socks can be divided into 5 types:

  • "Myskovye." Knit crochet socks (slippers) from a socks. We type a chain of air loops along the length of the fingers. Further on the oval with a gradual addition a stop is created, from the thumb to the heel. A heel and an elastic band are separately removed.
  • "Whole". The product begins to knit with a long chain, which is tied around, an oval, and at a certain stage the heel and toe are immediately made. In this way two parts are sewn, which are sewed together.
  • "Motive". How to crochet a sock on this principle? Make the necessary number of squares, triangles, flowers, which are folded together in a certain order and join. Slippers are collected in the same way.
  • «Rubber». The product begins to be made from rubber bands (the usual grid drawing). Further heel, foot and toe are loosened. The principle is similar to the technique of knitting with knitting needles, but everything is hooked.
  • "Plantar". The sole is grounded, and then the sidewalls and the sock are "stacked" with the crochet.

How to Crochet a Sock from Squares

The motives allow to make the product original, it is achieved due to the shape and color. In this case, for squares, it is necessary to select as many colors as there are rows in the motive itself, and bind the finished socks with another thread. Consider how this happens, for example, creating a slip or slipper. If desired, it can then be "supplied" with an elastic band. So, for the slipper we bind 8 squares according to the scheme:

  1. Make an air chain of 6 loops and close the ring.
  2. Each new row starts with 3 air lifting loops. You dial, alternating, 3 loops for the arch, 3 columns with a crochet.
  3. The next row is also tied with alternating columns with a crochet and 3 air loops, only in each 3-loop arch you are tying 6 columns with a crochet with an arch in the middle. It turns out that the side of the square consists of 9 bars, while the arch loops determine the angles of the figure.
  4. The penultimate row is typed according to the same scheme, only the side of the figure contains 15 bars.
  5. The last row is tied with columns without a crochet, only in the middle of the loop arch is an air loop fastened.

If the symbols on the diagram are not clear, then study the lessons of beginners, telling how to learn to crochet.

Socks are collected according to the following algorithm:

  • Spread the corners of the four squares diagonally;
  • Between the second and third motif on each side is added along the pattern, forming the widest figure;
  • To the fourth motive, the last two squares are added, forming a triangle. Now the slippers are forming. The first single motive creates a toe. It is stitched together with the sides of the large square so that the inner sides are joined to the sides of the second diagonal figure, and the upper faces are superimposed on the remaining edges of the large diamond.

The triangle forms the heel of the slipper. The sides of the fourth and third diagonal squares are stitched together. And connect the sides of the triangle to the edges of the large figure. As a result we get slippers with bumps. How to crochet a sock with a top? Just squeezed out 9 square motifs and 2 triangles, which also add up in a certain order, and the top of the toe (bootleg) is tied with arches. Socks crocheted, are very beautiful, but how much they are comfortable, you need to check in practice.
