Late work: misconduct or character trait

There are people who are late for work and holiday. At the same time, they feel calm, convincing everyone that this is their character trait, so you have to put up with it, as they have long ago reconciled themselves and ceased to overcome this problem. Other people are late for work perceived as a catastrophe and suffer greatly even from the thought that this can happen, punishing themselves in advance with a sense of guilt, remorse and emotional feelings. The third category of people are citizens who suddenly start to notice that they often become late somewhere, although they did not notice it before.

Nevertheless, for all categories of citizens, the delay in the labor code qualifies as a disciplinary offense, i.e. Inadequate performance by a person of their functional duties (Part 1, Article 119 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). At the same time, the measure of the impact on the employee is determined by the manager, depending on the frequency of the offense committed, the circumstances under which this occurred, and the employee's attitudes towards the performance of his duties (part 5 of Article 119 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). Possible causes of delays:

A person can generally refuse (forget) to fulfill an intention, if the motive of his actions is deeply personal and justified for him. Thus, they try to "return" those parents who were in their early childhood: attentive, caring, omnipotent, who always found themselves next to the baby in difficult situations.

An adult who is late for work and thinks that the boss, as a parent figure, will worry about him, is often mistaken. The chief is worried, but more - about the discipline, productivity and stability of his company.

Late work may be a mere coincidence. But any event in life has its own cause. It is important to analyze in a timely manner what caused the delay in work at this time: unwillingness to work, conflict in the team, fatigue, illness, the desire to demonstrate oneself or make others worry about themselves. Maybe it's time to grow up and begin to deal with the cause of the disease, and not with its symptoms?
