Landscaped park, Buki: description, mode of operation, how to reach, reviews

In an age of high technology and constant bustle, I really want to spend time where you can relax and touch the natural beauty. It is from nature that a person receives an incredibly powerful charge of energy that improves well-being and even allows for some reassessment of values. If you want to visit a similar place, then you will like the landscape park (Buki), located near Kiev. Not all locals know about it, let alone tourists. But in the near future, he has every chance to become the main attraction of the Skvirsky district.

Village Buki: several historical facts

A small settlement was formed in ancient times, the first written mention of it dates from the eleventh to thirteenth centuries. The village is located twelve kilometers from the center of Skvyrsky district and one hundred and ten kilometers from Kiev. This region is considered a remote place, where even buses run only twice a day and then with good weather conditions. Therefore, ten years ago no one thought that there would be a park in the village of Buki in the Kiev region, which would attract a large number of people who wanted to admire this man-made miracle.

History of the park

The landscape park in Buki originated with the efforts of one of the richest people in Ukraine - Ivan Suslov. Once upon a time there was a dump, almost completely clogging the bed of the Ravetica River. Every year the ecological catastrophe took on more and more serious proportions, but in 1996 Ivan Suslov decided to buy back the land he did not need for his own purposes.

Under the ransom, it took almost three hectares of land along with part of the river, the dump cost the businessman twenty thousand dollars, which is quite a bit even for that time. It was on this seemingly useless land that an enterprising businessman created an amazing park. Buki now become more and more known and popular, because a talented businessman plans to further develop these territories, attracting investments that promise the region great prospects. However, the theme of our article is the park.

Short description of the park

The landscape park (Buki) is simply a unique place, where you have to go at least once in your life. It seems incredible that the former dump turned into something amazingly beautiful and fabulous with an abundance of flowers, fountains, sculptures and even a small hydroelectric power station. Walking in the park in Buki can be all day, and the photos here are just extraordinary.

Conditionally the territory is divided into two parts. The first is available to absolutely all holidaymakers, it has a church and a bell tower. But on the second is the personal residence of Suslov, which can only be accessed as part of the excursion group. Each corner of this beautiful place deserves a detailed description. However, it is quite difficult to tell about everything in detail within the framework of one article, therefore we will try to describe both parts of the park in a short but colorful manner.

Territory with free entrance

If you are going to the village of Buki Kiev region in the park Suslov, then keep in mind that the entrance here is absolutely free. Almost from the first meters you will see an incredible view of well-groomed paths, stone and building fences made in an unusual style reminiscent of castles from children's fairy tales.

The first thing that visitors see is the fountain. For many years it served as a decoration for Independence Square, but was written off as unnecessary. Suslov reconstructed it and installed it in his park. Buki got not only a beautiful fountain, but also a beautiful bell tower, named after the father of the former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma. History says that once Daniel Kuchma was able to help Ivan Suslov get expensive foreign medicines needed to treat his son. The businessman thanked the rescuer of his child for building the bell tower.

Nearby there is a church where you can freely go and put a candle. It's amazing that they are free. Every visitor will be invited to inspect the temple and go downstairs to admire the hall for baptism. It's worth noting that he's really great.

On the river bank there is a sculptural composition of three toads, they can throw a coin to never envy anyone. Here is a monument to Maxim Gorky. They say that he is the most favorite writer of the owner of the park. From here you can clearly see Suslov's possessions, built in the form of a huge castle, but you can get here only through the bridge and as part of a tourist group.

The second part of the park

Visiting the territory costs ten hryvnia, and for the bridge only groups of not less than ten people are allowed. So you will have to wait for the right number of people. However, this happens quite quickly.

The bridge leading to the second part of the park is quite unusual. Pedestrian drozhki are laid on its both sides, and the whole middle is filled with water. This is done so that cars passing through the bridge can wash the wheels and drive through the park territory clean. On one side of the bridge is the residence of Suslov, and on the other side a nice waterfall is made.

On the second part of the park you will be led by a guide who will show all the most beautiful places and sculptural compositions. The newlyweds were chosen by the Holy Stone, which was brought from Israel. According to the story of the guide, he was taken from the place where Jesus turned water into wine. The talented sculptor very organically entered it in a composition of bronze and iron.

Kids will love the mini-zoo, where you can see lions, bears, deer and various pets. With the latter you can take pictures and feed, so children in the first place aspire to this part of the park.

The territory of the holiday is often called the Alley of Fairy Tales. There are sculptural compositions depicting fairy-tale heroes or simply amusing characters with whom it is fun to be photographed.

At the exit of the park is a beautiful wrought iron gazebo over a pond with carp. Visitors say: there are so many fish there that she literally jumps out of the water. Here you can sit, admiring the river and thinking about something sublime.

Infrastructure for visitors

Gradually the park is developing, and its visit is becoming more comfortable for tourists. Recently there was opened a small restaurant where you can have a bite of delicious dishes from the heat, with heat. By the summer, the businessman had built some quaint cafes with tables in the shape of mushrooms. Here you usually order light snacks and coffee, for kids on the menu there is ice cream.

Road to the park

Many people are interested in visiting the landscape park in Buki. How to get to this amazing place, located in the outback? In principle, it's easy, especially on your own car.

In this case, you should leave early in Kiev in the morning along the Odessa highway, most of the way passes through it. Naturally, it is necessary to take a card with you, so as not to miss a turn to the village of Buki.

If you plan to go to the park on buses and minibuses, then prepare for this adventure. There is no direct communication between Kiev and Buki, therefore it is necessary to go with transplants. Most people choose a bus to the town of Skvyra, it departs from the Lybidskaya metro station and the South Bus Station. The interval of bus traffic is about one hour, the first flight leaves at eight in the morning, and the last one at ten o'clock in the evening.

In Skvyre you need to get off at the bus station, from here twice a day bus routes leave through Buki. The first one leaves at ten twenty in the morning, and the second - exactly after two hours.

Schedule

Landscape park (Buki), the operating mode is quite unusual - on weekdays the park is closed for visits. You can only walk around the fountain and go to church. If you plan to explore the entire park, then come Friday to Sunday from nine in the morning until five in the evening.

Village Buki, park: guest reviews

All visitors to the park, leaving reviews on the Internet, were divided into two groups. Some of them were completely ecstatic about the architecture of the park, beautiful plants and amazing sculptural compositions. They recommend it for visiting families with kids and all who want to spend an unusual time outdoors. But the latter are extremely unhappy with everything that Mr. Suslov did on his land. They believe that the natural landscape was spoiled, the park itself is rather tasteless, and the prices in cafes are unjustifiably overstated.

Therefore, we can not unequivocally say whether you should recommend this place to visit. However, we think that it is necessary to formulate an opinion on everything. And, means, you should definitely go to the landscape park and tell about it in your reviews.
