Landscape alley in Kiev - one of the urban recreation areas, which was created on the site of the former defensive shafts. They stretched over a deep cliff, reliably protecting the city from unwanted guests. It is curious that this alley is part of the reserve "Ancient Kiev", in the structure of which other objects were to enter (open-air museum of archeology, reconstructed Kiev mountains, etc.). However, only this project was realized.

The modern Landscape alley in Kiev is a pedestrian road for walks. It was laid in the early 1980s. The author of the project was the architect Avraham Miletsky. From the avenue you can see a wonderful view of Podol and Zadneprovya. The second option: turn to Bolshaya Zhitomirskaya street and go along its even side to the house at number 38. The landmark can serve as a large graffiti on the wall of the building, before which you have to turn into the yard. Here you will discover a charming landscape on the Kiev hills.

Art museum on the "Landscape"

Today, the Landscape Alley in Kiev is not just a recreational area of the city, but also a fine museum of modern art with many different installations.

The Art Museum "Landscape Alley" arose in November 2009 and immediately became the most popular holiday destination for the people of Kiev. The townspeople came here themselves, and also brought their children to unusual grounds. The square that was pitched in the wasteland is really impressive.

Its main axis is a long 30-meter wall decorated with mosaic. It depicts blue centipede cats with open mouths and bird-stars on the body. Just in the mouth of these cats are most like to be photographed by tourists. Also on this wall you can find a beautiful panel with images of children.

In the open-air museum there are many other interesting things. In different places of the Landscape avenue you can see four households, which are located on high towers of pillows. And on one of the slopes is thoughtfully "The Little Prince" with a sword from the eponymous fairy tale for adults of Antoine de Saint-Exupery. This sculpture was presented to Kiev by the French Cultural Center.

There is also a children's playground, designed based on another famous fairy tale - "Alice in Wonderland." Many are fascinated by the sculpture of a girl on an elephant or a fountain with enamored zebras. It should be noted that almost all the sculptures are faced with a multicolored mosaic.

The idea of the art project belongs to the designer Olga Kondratskaya. But the famous Kiev sculptor Konstantin Skretutsky performed all the creative work. His name is already well known and beloved by all Kyivans. He created many other "wonderful" sculptures in Kiev: for example, Sparrow-Bunker, Hedgehog in the fog of nails, or three cats in Zolotovorotsky Square. Skretutskii continues to beautify the streets of the city and to please his inhabitants.

For all work on creating an art museum took almost half a million hryvnia. A fifth of this rather large sum was collected by residents of nearby houses.
