Laminated panels - simple and reliable wall finishing

The modern market is full of all kinds of solutions for interior decoration of premises. This wallpaper, and decorative plasters, and paints, and much more. You can add laminated panels to the same list. Few people among people who are not involved in the construction industry, heard about them. But they are worth considering as an alternative to traditional methods of cosmetic decoration of premises.

Laminated wall panels - this is the facing material. They are designed for interior decoration of premises. Their main advantage lies in their high strength. This is achieved by the outer layer of the material, which is a laminate. This property in combination with an abundance of color solutions makes it possible not only to create beautiful design of walls in the room, but also to obtain a durable, reliable and durable decorative coating.

Depending on what is used for their manufacture, they are divided into laminated plastic, chipboard panels , fiberboard and MDF. All these materials have their own characteristics, i.e. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages. But still the most important value is the laminating layer. It is he who determines the final performance indicators of the finishing material.

Laminated panels have a number of advantages. For example:

  1. High wear resistance. The material is not afraid of friction and other effects that could damage the decorative layer.
  2. Light fastness. Panels do not fade under direct sunlight.
  3. Frost resistance. This property allows using this type of finishing materials in seasonal premises. For example, in the cottage.
  4. Strength characteristics. Laminated panels are a strong material. They differ in good bending performance and high impact resistance.
  5. Absence of toxicity. Since most often this material is used for interior decoration of premises, this indicator is of great importance, because nothing can be more expensive than human health.
  6. Fire safety. Panels with a laminating layer refer to non-combustible materials.

Another advantage of this material is its ease of installation. There are two ways to fix it to the wall: it's glued and using fasteners. The first of them can be executed either directly on the wall itself or on a pre-prepared wooden crate. It all depends on the quality of the surface. The second method implies the mandatory installation of the crate.

Separately it is worth noting that laminated panels can be fixed on the crate with the help of invisible and visible fasteners. In the first case, dorsal-cork dowels or riveting rods are used. In the second case, bolts or other riveted fasteners are used. If the panels are used for finishing the premises for seasonal use, it should be taken into account that the material under the influence of temperature can change its size. In this case, the mounting holes should be slightly wider.
