"Lamentation of Christ" - Michelangelo's exquisite drink
The work of art (in stone or on canvas), representing a picture on which Christ is imprinted and the Mother of God bemoaning him, is called a pieta. Michelangelo was not more than 25 years old when he completed his work, which became a perfect example of iconography in sculpture. It is impossible to say exactly when the sculpture was conceived and when the sculpture is finished, but many sources of the history of fine art refer to the period from 1497 to 1501.
Pieta Michelangelo admires the divine humility in the sorrows of Mary before the most severe loss. On the face of the Mother of God, there is no shadow of despair, the calm calm reflected on her beautiful face, the quiet grief of her all-forgiving soul illuminates the image with a halo of holiness. Christ looks like he just fell asleep after a heavy hiking trip, and his serene sleep is about to break off from the affectionate touch of her hands.
The delicious Michelangelo's pie was created in this way,
In the modern world, there are many copies of the Michelangelo's pie, and the original is kept on the territory of the Vatican State in St. Peter's Cathedral. Giorgio Vasari wrote that the sculptor accidentally heard a dispute between people about who is the true author of this creation.
The "Rondanini" pieta, begun 55 years after the first, was his last work. Unfinished, she became for Michelangelo the imprint of his death. For all the rudeness of the lines of this unfinished work, considering the pose of the figures, one can feel the emotional tear and despair of the Mother of God. This decision of Michelangelo contrasts sharply with the tranquility of his first drink. As symbolically these two sculptures personify youth and withering: eternally young and unaware of the grief of the Virgin in the first drink and distraught from mute despair mother, trying to raise her child, in the second. Undoubtedly, Michelangelo is an outstanding sculptor of all time, even in his unfinished sculpture one can feel the power that spiritualizes the soul of any Orthodox person. The statues of Michelangelo Buonarroti are great examples of sculptural creativity, sublime and penetrating, they conquer the hearts of those who appreciate the beautiful.
