Lake Tashkul: Recreation and Fishing in the Chelyabinsk Region

In the north of the Chelyabinsk region of the Russian Federation, in the Kasli district, not far from the town of Verkhny Ufaley is the freshwater lake Tashkul. Read more about this reservoir in the article.

Name

The Bashkir word "tashkul" is translated as "stony lake". Most likely the reservoir was given such a name, because there are many stones on its bottom that can be clearly seen even through the water column.

Description

As mentioned above, Tashkul is a lake. The Chelyabinsk region is famous for its lakes. In total there are over 3750 of these reservoirs on its territory! But Tashkul is the deepest of all. Its maximum depth reaches 35 meters. The water in it is so clear and clean that even far from the shore, white stones are clearly visible on the bottom.

This reservoir has a rounded shape, its area is 1.2 km square. It is filled with atmospheric precipitation and underground sources.

Lake Tashkul has a sandy bottom, only a small part of it (no more than 2% of the total area) is covered with stones, and in places it is muddy due to the swamps that approach the shores.

Swimming in the lake is dangerous, especially for children, because large depths begin immediately from the shore, which steeply slopes down sharply. At the bottom there are several pits.

The water in Tashkul is freshwater, very clean and transparent, it does not bloom. It can be drunk even without preliminary cleaning and boiling.

The banks are covered with mixed forest. Here grow mighty pines, white-birch birches, to the very edge of the water comes alder. But there is very little vegetation in the lake.

Geographical coordinates. The nearest settlements

Geographic coordinates of the lake are 56 ° 06 'N and 60 ° 33' E.

Near the pond are quite large settlements - the city of Snezhinsk (population of more than 50 thousand) and Upper Ufaley (population of about 30 thousand), as well as the village of Klyuchi.

At a distance of 82 kilometers from the lake is a small town of Kasli, 150 kilometers - the town of Kusa, the distance to Yekaterinburg is 110 kilometers, to Chelyabinsk - 190 kilometers.

Lakes nearby

Not far from Tashkul there are 4 more lakes. 1.7 km to the east lies Tatysh - a freshwater reservoir with very clean water, in translation from Turkic its name means "quiet, affectionate". Only 1 kilometer to the south is the Semishkul lake. At 1.5 kilometers to the north-west is a beautiful water reservoir Itkul - a hydrological natural monument, a specially protected area of the Chelyabinsk region.

Directly to the very Tashkuil from the west adjoins a small lake Terenkul. Once these two reservoirs were connected by a channel, but today it is swamped.

Recreation

The picturesque Lake Tashkul has long been attracted to tourists as a magnet, attracted not only by the cool crystal clear water and the abundance of fish, but also by clean air, peace and quiet around.

Several houses for guests are built on the shore. But tourists prefer to rest "savages" - in tents. A dirt road is laid to the very coast, so you can easily get there by car.

Recently, the authorities "ennobled" this place: they installed on the shore arbours, for picnic and barbecue lovers cooked firewood, put trash cans, biotoilets, fishermen built bridges. The beach is regularly cleaned, so here it is always very clean. But for the comfort you need to pay, and now the rest on Lake Tashkul is paid.

Despite this, there are many tourists here. All of them are attracted by the beautiful and clean Lake Tashkul. Reviews about it are only positive. Come and singles, and romantic couples in love, and youth companies, and families with children. Everyone finds here a place and an occupation to their liking.

Fishing in the Chelyabinsk region on Tashkul

Although the vegetation in the pond is small, but it is very rich in fish (another mystery for biologists). Here there are pike and chibak, pike perch, a large perch weighing up to 0.5 kilograms is caught! A good bite of trout, whitefish and ripus.

An interesting fact: in 2012, the employees of one of the companies of the city of Snezhinsk had the idea to breed a valuable fish in the lake - sturgeon. With their money, they bought 200,000 fry and 30,000 adult fish, all of them released into the pond. Sturgeons excelled in a new place, and already in the summer of 2013 the first specimens were caught by the most successful fishermen.

In general, the catches are very good. They hunt fish from the shore, as well as rowing boats and motor boats. Also, Lake Tashkul was chosen by rakolovs. Since the water in the pond is very clean, there are a lot of cancers here, and it's easy to catch them.

One small clarification: fishing in the Chelyabinsk region on Tashkul is paid. At the same time for catching valuable fish - trout and sturgeon - will have to pay extra on the output. Fans of underwater hunting will have to fork in addition.

How to get there

Tashkul leads a direct route Chelyabinsk-Yekaterinburg, but it passes through Voskresenskoye and Snezhinsk. As you know, Snezhinsk is a closed territorial and administrative entity, so travel through this settlement is possible only on a special pass. It is clear that most tourists who hurry to rest on the lake do not have such a pass. Therefore, it is necessary to get to the reservoir in a roundabout way.

How to get to the lake from Chelyabinsk: first you need to drive through Argayash, Kyshtym, then pass the Upper Ufaley. You can go in the direction of Ekaterinburg to Tyubuk, at this settlement turn to Kasli. Further move towards Upper Ufaleya to Lake Ikul, which you need to go around from the north. After reaching the village of Klyuchi, go straight to Tashkul.

How to get to the lake from Yekaterinburg? First you need to get to the town Polevskogo, then - to the village of Poldnevoy, after passing Lake Ikul go to the village of Klyuchi. From the village directly to the lake leads the road. And you can get there differently: first - to the Tubuk turn, from where through Kasli go directly to Tashkul.

How to get to this lake from Ufa? We need to go along the highway "Ufa-Chelyabinsk" to the city of Miass or Zlatoust. From these settlements through Kyshtym and Upper Ufaley go to Lake Itkul, and then Tashkul!

The roads in the Chelyabinsk region are not bad, but in some places there are pits, which, however, easily overcomes the car.
