Karina Budyuchyan: biography and cause of death

In winter 2009, a young girl who studied in the 11th grade of one of the schools disappeared in the cultural capital of Russia. Law enforcement officers calmed relatives, claimed that "walk up and return." Unfortunately, Karina Budyuchyan did not return home. The circumstances of her death and the details of the crime shocked and upset all our compatriots.

The story of this unfortunate girl media is often presented under the loud headline "The Goths killed and ate emo." One of the replicated versions boils down to the fact that three representatives of various youth subcultures quarreled. During the conflict, the girl was killed by two other participants.

Karina Budyuchyan is often ranked by journalists as emo, then as goths. The girl's relatives deny the girl's belonging to any informal movements. According to the mother of the deceased, Karina was the most ordinary child. She studied well at school, pocket money earned herself, putting up leaflets.

The beginning of the winter nightmare

The girl came home after school hours and soon went to work part-time - to post leaflets. In the evening, Karina Budyuchyan phoned her mother and asked to stay overnight with a friend under the pretext of doing her homework.

As Nadezhda later admitted, already at that moment she did not want to leave her daughter anywhere. But Karina was too serious about her studies and convinced her mother of the importance of preparing the report. On the morning of the 20th the girl did not return home. Nadezhda Budyuchyan immediately began to think about the worst. Her daughter, unlike many of her contemporaries, did not drink and did not smoke, she often spent free time at home, and when she left she always warned where and how much she was going. The search for the missing schoolgirl was conducted about two weeks. At that time, all contacts of the deceased and people who saw her as the last living were actively checked.

Immediately before the announcement of the results of examination of fragments of the body, all the relatives of the missing girl hoped that an error had occurred. The forensic experts had to solve a difficult task: to assemble the body in fragments and to determine what exactly happened to the deceased.

The murder of Karina Budyuchyan shocked the public with her cruelty, cynicism and senselessness. It was possible to establish that the girl was first drowned, after which the body was dismembered and thrown into garbage cans. According to the official version, after drinking alcoholic beverages there was a quarrel between the participants in the get-togethers. As a result of the conflict, Maxim, with the help of his friend Yuri, drowned the girl. When they realized what they had done, young people decided to dismember the body. During this bloody work Golovatsky and Mozhnov realized that they had nothing to lose. As they later explained to the investigators, they just wanted to eat, and the idea of trying to taste the human person came to her head by itself.

Investigation and court

Once in custody, the suspects immediately began to give confessions and told about the fate of Karina Budyuchyan. Each of the friends claimed that he participated only in the dismemberment of the body, and killed and consumed human meat another. The motive for the murder remained unexplained. Golovatsky had only time to say that "Karina was very tired of his love and childish spontaneity."

Sentence and Appeals

The court sentenced Maxim Golovatsky to 19 years imprisonment in a strict regime colony, Yuri Mozhkov - to 18 years imprisonment in a strict regime colony. Each convict is also obliged to pay 1 million rubles to the mother of the deceased and to compensate for the material damage caused - 21 thousand rubles. The aggrieved party remained dissatisfied with the verdict handed down. According to the relatives of the murdered girl, the criminals deserve life imprisonment or the death penalty.

But all this is not the end of the terrible story, the victim of which was Karina Budyuchyan. Violent murders and crimes occur from time to time in all corners of the globe. However, it is not so often possible to meet so arrogant and cynical criminals. The convict Maxim Golovatsky submitted a number of appeals and counterclaims. His main goal was to bring to justice the mother of the murdered Nadezhda Budyuchyan for harassment, insulting his own honor and dignity. It is worth noting that during the court hearings Maxim demonstrated excellent knowledge of jurisprudence. However, he was not able to win any of the courts.

Relatives of the deceased admit that they are tired of listening to the muck about their daughter and granddaughter from strangers.
