Subtleties of production
To mix and fill the solution into molds, special equipment is used. These are concrete mixing units, vibrating tables and vibropressors. On the basis of the created model, working forms are made, into which the cement mixture is poured. After a 2-minute shaking on the vibrating table (to compact the composition), the semi-finished products solidify and dry at a temperature of about 30 for several hours. Then they are released from the mold and packed. Facing artificial stone is ready for sale.
Outside or inside
The construction of fences and facade cladding, the design of a bathroom or bedrooms, a kitchen countertop or a fragment of an old wall on a veranda is not a complete list of options for using such a popular building material. Foundations, vases of non-standard form or garden steps, household and subsidiary premises on the site - everything can be made of a material called "Kamrok" (artificial stone). At the same time, prices for this product range from 1,000 to 3,500 rubles per square meter, depending on the type and amount of the purchase.
How to install a facade cladding
Laying of elements begins with angular fragments. In this case, long and short sides should be alternated. If necessary, the elements can be cut off or broken off with wire cutters.
Before installation, the tile must be moistened from the back. You can simply immerse the elements in a wide container of water for a couple of minutes to absorb moisture. For the best setting of the mortar, the main wall is also moistened with a spray gun.
Reviews about some features of the material
When facing large surfaces, it is recommended to use relief fragments from different packages. Then an imitation masonry made of stone or brick becomes the most approximate to the natural in color shades and effects. It is with this feature (heterogeneity of coloring) that negative customer feedback is associated.
In addition, from the experience of the application it is known that with the use of low-grade adhesive compounds and poor sealing of seams, individual tiles can simply fall off and be damaged. According to reviews it is clear that it is quite difficult to find a replacement for them.
In order for the artificial stone finish to look like a convincing imitation of the wall masonry, builders must adhere to certain rules.
- In the complete set of facing tiles, the elements imitating the old ligation of the masonry at the corner joints of the walls are necessarily included.
- To fully implement the protective functions of the facade, you need to use branded adhesives and grout for joints.
- Using for the decoration and protection of your house a tomb (artificial stone), it is necessary to leave gaps between the tiles, which are then filled with trowelling compounds.
Quite often Kamrok (artificial stone) is called façade tiles or decorative lining. The technology allows imitating almost any natural coating. Studying customer feedback, you can call this method of finishing the facade best among many options.
Why leave gaps?
To obtain seamless masonry from artificial stone kamrock (reviews of masters confirm this), each tile must be completely covered with mortar. Pressing the fragment against the wall, excess glutinous mixture is squeezed out at the edges. From the ends should remain a thin layer of solution, which is gently rubbed to give a beautiful appearance.
How to paint a stone
Depending on the type of masonry, kamrok (artificial stone) can have a variety of shades. The natural mineral dyes used in the production are initially introduced into the solution. More detailed tinting is done superficially by hand. The color shades of each fragment are individual, although they are in the gamut of a certain collection:
- "Rough Skol" - an artificial stone (photo of a veranda with an armchair in the article) of a natural form.
- "But" - cobblestones irregularly shaped sandy shades.
- "Weathered tuff" - geometric formations of brown, greenish, red and yellow color.
- "Alpine Village" - natural and harmonious surfaces with a special charm.
- "Dolomite Wall", "Fairy Town", "Sea Breeze", "Rocky Mountain", "Medieval Wall", "Old Castle" and other species.
Absolutely harmless to human health and the environment, the mineral pigments ensure high-quality painting of the products both inside and on the surface to give certain shade effects.
