Ivanovskie lakes (Khakassia): how to get there and have a good rest

Ivanovo lakes are rightfully considered one of the most picturesque places of nature in Khakassia. They are located on the border with the Kemerovo region, at the foot of the Bobrovaya Mountain, at the mouth of the Sarala River.

The lake complex

Ivanovskie lakes are a cascade of four water bowls. The spectacle that comes before your eyes, just breathtaking. Very beautiful looks bowl of a blue lake, surrounded by mountains, and on top - a second pond. From it follows a small rivulet. It flows into the first lake, forming thus a tremendous waterfall in height in forty meters. At the same time, the droplets scatter, sparkling in the sunlight, like lenses, and bewitching.

On the slopes of the mountains surrounding Ivanovo lakes, even in the hottest August lies real snow, with the descent of which the snowdrops bloom. In ten days they are replaced by such taiga flowers as frying. And next to them ripe blueberries.

Exact location

Ivanovskie lakes, photo of which resembles both the taiga forest and alpine meadows, are located near the small village of Priiskovoe, in which about six hundred people live. This Ordzhonikidzevsky district of Khakassia, located simultaneously in the subalpine and mountain-taiga climatic zones of Alatau.

Four stunning beauty mountain lakes, the largest of which has a depth of up to one hundred and forty meters, are filled with icy water. They are located at an altitude of more than a kilometer above sea level. Their surroundings attract a pristine nature. Bright colors of alpine meadows, snowfields that do not melt even in summer, mountain streams and waterfalls, originating in the upper bowls - all this splendor is within reach even for the most unprepared tourist. And this paradise is known as Ivanovskie Lake, Khakassia.

How to get there?

From Priiskovy settlement to the Ivanovo lakes can be reached by going up the road, which will lead only to the first of them. And to visit the rest, you need a map or a guide. At the same time, it is necessary to know that there is no automobile road, so you need to walk.

Natural object

Ivanovskie lakes located on the territory of a high-mountainous complex are a regional natural object. Here, the park is divided, the main purpose of which is to protect high-altitude biocenoses, and in particular - alpine meadows, on which rare plants grow. In addition, in the vicinity of the lakes there are thickets of birch twisting, where there are large populations of reindeer. On the slopes of the surrounding mountains there are species of plants that are listed in the Russian Red Book. There are a lot of berries in these places. This makes the natural park even more attractive for tourism.

Snowballs with which Ivanovskie lakes are rich are also unique. Rest here can be organized all year round. Winter sports in the mountains are popular with tourists.

Infrastructure

The largest and the largest in size are the upper and lower lakes. They are located in the zone of perpetual glaciers. That is why it has long been famous for travelers with its snow-covered picturesque beaches, which have become a favorite place for many skiers.

From time to time the ice icicles hanging over the water, breaking into the water, form real icebergs. The banks near the upper lake are strikingly reminiscent of a structure like a dam. Their top is almost horizontal, flattened by a glacier. It sometimes "oozes", gleaming in the sun with running water. On the right to the upper lake is literally "falls" a scree, along with a snowball lying on it. Hence the beginning of Sarala - the river, which, running between stones about two hundred meters, rushes to the lower bowl.

If you believe the experts, the depth of the lower lake is one hundred and forty-seven meters, and this becomes obvious if you stand on a steep bank and carefully peer into the dark green abyss, in which even a small rock escaping under water is lost.

Ivanovo lakes are of karst origin. They are fueled by waterfalls and streams, originating from numerous snowfields. The places around them are very beautiful. The slopes of the surrounding mountains are entirely covered with thickets of dwarf birch.

To the Ivanovo lakes the taiga is closely selected, but here and there a birch-tree is also found. On the banks on one side are visible rocky cliffs, and on the other - kurumniki or boulders. Therefore, descent to some lakes is quite dangerous.

Recreation

There are many fish in the reservoirs themselves. And mostly it's grayling. The first lake Ivanovskoe, fishing on which is very popular among lovers of "quiet" hunting, is a favorite place for those who combine tourism with active pastime. Overnight in tents, talks by the fire, clean mountain air, beautiful emerald ponds - in short, a complete rest in nature. Those who prefer comfort, it is better to stay in a boarding house, which, unfortunately, is still the only one. But a lot of rented private housing, which is rented very inexpensively.

Tourism

If in the summer walks on the slopes of mountains and fishing attract tourists here, then in winter - it's skiing and snowboarding. The successful geographic location of the glacier is excellent for skiing. Since the snowfields of the Ivanovo lakes do not melt even in hot summer, extremals come here, not only Russian, but also foreign ones.

Khakassia offers visitors ecological tourism on these clean water reservoirs. A new investment megaproject called "Ivanovskie lakes" is being prepared in the republic, within the framework of which this natural complex was created. In the opinion of the organizers, the meteorological and climatic conditions of the region contribute to comfortable leisure in the open air both in summer and in winter. Thanks to the fact that Ivanovskie lakes are fed by glacier and meltwater of snowfields, which do not melt even on the hottest summer days, the water in them is always clear and clean.

In the natural complex in Khakassia, tourists like walking, fishing, skiing and snowboarding. The most optimal time for rest on the lakes begins in June and lasts until the end of August. For this season, they are visited by up to five thousand travelers. In total, more than fifteen thousand people come to this region of Khakassia for a year.
