Ancient Egypt is considered the birthplace of the calendar. And the modern name of the calendar was already due to Ancient Rome: in calends, or the first days of the month, borrowers had to return interest. Actually, it is a system of reading long time intervals and is based on natural phenomena, in particular, the motion of heavenly bodies. The waning moon is one of the phases of the lunar calendar.

What does he represent? In the lunar calendar, the whole year is divided into months, the number of which is 12. Each month contains alternately 29 or 30 days. In the lunar year only 354 days. One of the main requirements of the lunar calendar is the condition that the first month of the next year coincides with the new moon, so in certain years an additional day was added in the last month. Such a year is considered a leap year, and the number of days in it is 355. Because the lunar year is about eleven days shorter than the solar one, its beginning occurs annually earlier and can occur for any month of the solar year. In the Muslim countries, the lunar calendar is given great importance.

The state of the moon is determined by the lunar cycle, which lasts approximately 29.5 days of the Earth. It includes such phases, which have their own peculiarities:

• waning moon.

The waning moon is considered the period of completion of all the affairs that have been started. The influence of this light on nature is transformed as it passes into the phase of the new moon. This period is favorable for people to "say goodbye" to bad habits, finish difficult projects, complete protracted repairs, etc.

Gradually the lunar disc turns into a very small one, which later disappears altogether. This phase symbolizes a decline, similar to the process of dying. When the waning moon is in the sky, it is recommended to clean up the house. These days you can profitably sell things, it is easier to give up smoking or cope with alcohol dependence.

Suitable is any work that involves its completion. During this period, getting rid of bad habits, a person as if "kills" them. And already later there comes an update.

People born in the third phase of the Moon have an abundance of feelings. They watch themselves, as if from the outside, but they are never satisfied with what they see.
