Travels, Tips for tourists
Self-guided tours in Thailand
Every year, the number of tourists increases, which prefer not to be given to the mercy of agencies, but to independently learn about other regions. On the pros and cons of travel "savage" can say a long time and a lot, but here it goes not on this. Even if you come to an exotic country for a ticket, often the cost of the tour does not include. Namely they make a memorable vacation. In Thailand, Russian exotic lovers increasingly go independently and dare there for forays on their own, without overpayments.
Usually, tours around Thailand begin and end in Bangkok. In the capital, it is suggested to stay for a day or two, after which the group goes to the sea - to Pattaya or to the islands. A tourist who has arrived to the country by himself can also organize a sightseeing tour using the Bayok sky skytrain and an extensive network of other public transport, including boats and a tuk-tuk taxi. For ridiculous money, you can ride a boat along the canals of Bangkok or take a ticket to a ship cruising the Chao Phraya River.
Of course, you need to see the royal palace and the main temples of the capital: the Morning Dawn, the Emerald Buddha, the Marble Temple, Wat Po with the statue of the Golden Buddha. But a lonely tourist can also visit the floating market, and in Chinatown, which ordinary excursions in Thailand simply do not attend. But there is a lot of interesting things there! An independent traveler is free to go out of town on a one-day trip: for example, go with a child to the amusement park "Dream World" or to a crocodile farm, make a romantic trip to the Rose Garden or the ancient capital of the country, Ayutthaya. Thanks to the developed system of bus and railway communication, you can see a lot of interesting things, and in the same evening be at home, in the hotel.
But cultural tours in Thailand, that is, visiting places of worship or architectural monuments, can be organized completely independently. Teak palace of Marryukketan in Hua Hin, the beautiful city of Chiang Mai, considered the religious capital of the country, Chiang Rai, near which live the tribes of curran (long necks), the Great Buddha temple on Koh Samui, the stone castle of the 11th century Nakhon Ratchasima near the town of Phimai, Khmer temple in Buri Ram. Traveling with the local population, looking at the surroundings not from the windows of the sightseeing bus, you will be able to feel the burning and dizzying spirit of the country more fully.
