Installation of thermopanels on the crate

If you have the necessary tools, as well as the skills to work with it, you can easily install façade thermal panels. However, it should be noted that such work has certain rules, which should be adhered to.

Thermal panels are a material that is often used for facing facades. Before starting the installation, it is necessary to prepare the surfaces and study the technology.

Installation Methods

At the moment, specialists are installing the thermal panels in several ways. The choice of the method of installation depends on the materials. There are two ways:

  • Seamless method. It is considered the most profitable in terms of finance and ease of installation of thermal panels. By choosing this method, you can save on the main material.
  • With filling of all seams. This method differs from the previous one. After laying the thermopanels, the joints formed between the material are filled with a special solution. This gives the surface a more attractive and finished appearance.

Mounting Features

Before starting the installation of thermal panels it is worthwhile to estimate the scale of the forthcoming works. You should not skip the procedure. First of all, it is necessary to inspect the surface, which will be processed. The process of installing clinker thermal panels is similar to the process of facing surfaces with ceramic tiles. However, there is a significant difference.

To level the surface under the ceramic tile, you can use a large layer of glue. This is unacceptable when working with thermal panels. An absolutely flat surface is required to mount such a material.

Preparing for laying

Before you begin the installation of thermal panels, you need to prepare. Before laying:

  • Align all surfaces. The maximum deviation can be no more than 10 millimeters.
  • Plaster pits and holes. The speakers should be cut off and then sanded.
  • Deeper irregularities on the surface should be compensated by other means. For this purpose, gaskets made of a material that is not susceptible to moisture are ideal.

What is required for work

The most important thing is to choose the right material. To install the thermal panels with clinker tiles passed without problems, it is worthwhile to prepare all the elements in advance. For work you will need:

  • Thermal panels. To determine the amount of material required, it is necessary to measure the surface, and then multiply the height by the length. From the amount it is necessary to subtract the door, as well as the window openings. The material is sold not in packages, but in square meters.
  • Elements angular. They allow to give the building a neat and complete look. To calculate the required amount of this material, you should measure the length of all the internal and external corners of the facade.

What should be the surface

The material from which the walls of the building are made does not matter. It can be blocks, bricks or wood. However, the surface must meet the following requirements:

  • The substrate must be dry. The humidity of the cement surfaces should not exceed 5%. In this case, depth is taken into account - no more than 3 centimeters. As for plaster and wooden surfaces, their humidity should not exceed 1%.
  • The base must be strong enough. First of all it concerns plaster and plastered surfaces. The substrate must be free from any peeling and cracks.
  • The surface must be clean. Before installing the clinker facade thermal panels, it is necessary to clean the base of oil, paint, dirt. This is especially important if the material is not attached to the crate.

Features of finishing of wooden surfaces

Before installing the thermal panels, you should carefully prepare the wooden walls. To do this, perform the following manipulations:

  • Surfaces of wood must be covered with waterproof paper or with waterproofing. Laying material is recommended by horizontal stripes, starting from the very top. In this case, the waterproofing should be overlapped with a width of 5 to 7 centimeters.
  • After laying the waterproofing material, it is necessary to fix the anti-corrosion mesh with galvanized nails or staples. Particular attention should be paid to the outer and inner corners. Here the material fits into several layers.
  • Finally, the surface should be leveled. Apply a layer of plaster to the anti-corrosion mesh. The thickness of the material should be at least 1 centimeter.

How to prepare a concrete wall

When facing such surfaces, there are no special problems. Before installing the thermal panels with clinker tiles on concrete walls, the porosity of the substrate should be checked. If the surface is very dense, then this indicator will be minimal. In such situations, the substrate must be treated with a water repellent.

Preparation of walls from a brick

New brickwork basically does not require additional processing. Especially if it is flat, without a badge and emptiness. Installation of thermal panels can be carried out directly on it. With regard to the old masonry, it must be cleaned of efflorescence, and then treated with a hydrophobic agent and covered with a layer of plaster.

If the building is old, then it does not make any sense to plaster it. In this case, the thermopanel is mounted on the crate. This will save construction material.

How to Mark Bottom Points

After the preparatory work is completed, it is necessary to mark the bottom line. It is from it that the material will be edited. As a zero line, you can use a clear boundary between the socle and the facade of the building. In other cases, it is necessary to make a clear mark throughout the area. After this, you can proceed to the lining.

If the walls of the building have elevations, then the zero line should be noted for each surface separately. Through the entire length of the border, you should attach the guides. They will perform the role of ebb. When installing the guide, special attention should be paid to the horizontal installation. You can use the level to check.

Thermal Panel Mounting Technology

On the reverse side of the thermo panel, a layer of a 1.5 cm thick solution should be applied using a trowel. The material should be pressed against the wall and move a little. Only after this, the panels can be fixed. In this case, the adhesive should be squeezed out from under the material. The excess solution must be removed. Manipulation must be repeated with the next panel. Thus, it is necessary to put the first row. If a seamless laying material is used, the end faces of the panels must be filled with mortar.

If the installation is carried out in the heat, then before laying the elements, the surface should be moistened with water using a brush. The same must be done with the panels.

Installing on the crate

To begin with, it is required to install a crate. It can be made from wooden beams or from metal guides. The distance between the elements of the crate should not be more than 45 cm. Each panel requires three vertical bars. Wood before the installation of panels should be treated with flame retardants.

In this case, the installation of thermal panels is recommended to start from the corner, from left to right. The elements are connected through the "spike-groove" system only among themselves. After this, the panels are fixed using self-tapping screws to the crate.

Jointing

The installation of thermo panels by oneself is a rather laborious process. An important point is the grouting of seams. On how this procedure will be carried out, the integrity of the coating depends. The grouting is performed by filling the grout with grout. This will not allow further penetration of moisture under the panels. Incorrectly made jointing can lead to material destruction during freezing.

For work, you can use a tight polyethylene bag with a cut off corner. The dimensions of the hole must correspond to the width of the seams between the panels.

How is the jointing performed?

A tight polyethylene bag must be filled with mortar and then filled with seams. This mass should not fall on the panel. When the solution grapples a little, you need to gently stitch the seams. To do this, use a small stick of wood. Do not try to compact the liquid solution. So you can stain all the panels. Later they will have to be cleaned.

To embroidered seams were more even, it is necessary and carefully place them. To do this, you can use a broom made of plastic or plant material. Finally, it is necessary to treat the surface with a water-repellent compound. Such a procedure can be carried out only after the solution has completely solidified.

In conclusion

Installation of the thermal panel can be carried out independently. The main thing is to observe all the rules and carefully prepare the surface. Correct facing of the facade with thermal panels allows creating an ideal similarity to the laying of bricks. The use of such material makes it possible to give the building an original appearance, as well as to distinguish it from other buildings.
