Ingrown nail: treatment at home yourself

Once you have found the first signs of ingrown nail disease (pain in the nail plate, a slight swelling and redness), you should immediately begin treatment. To begin with, it is necessary to say "no" to narrow shoes - this will avoid pressure on the inflamed area of the finger.

Ingrown nail: treatment at home using butter

If the nail grows into the flesh of your finger with its sharp edges and causes severe pain, mainly when walking, then buy a rubber fingertip at the pharmacy, fill it with cow butter and every evening before going to sleep, put on a suffering finger. Repeat the procedure for 2-3 weeks daily. The nail will soften and stop pain.

Ingrown toenail: treatment with the use of trays

1. In the initial stage of onochryptosis, you can use the baths with the chemist's chamomile. Two liters of boiling water fill chamomile flowers (6 table spoons), cover the dishes with a lid and insist for at least one hour. Strain the infusion, warm it up and lower the leg with the affected nail for 15-20 minutes. This procedure should be carried out daily.

2. Do warm foot baths daily with a small amount of potassium permanganate, furacilin or soda (a teaspoon of soda for 250 ml of water). Then cut the growing edges of the nail plate (see below).

Ingrown nail: treatment at home using aloe

To the sick nail for the night, attach the previously cleaned aloe leaf and tie it with a bandage. In the morning you can see that the pain and swelling will pass. Try to trim the neatly grown-up tips of the nail and re-attach the aloe. Repeat the procedure until complete recovery.

However, it is worthwhile to understand that such an unpleasant sore, like an ingrown nail, whose treatment with folk remedies has been described above, will not simply disappear. All these recommendations are only a preparatory stage for holding a mini-operation to remove ingrown nails at home. How to do it safely and efficiently? Read it!

All the following procedures should be carried out after you have achieved the removal of pain, inflammation and softened ingrown nail.

To cut a sick nail plate, you will need scissors with sharp and only straight ends. It is this tool that will allow you to cut the ingrown nail exactly horizontally.

If the diseased nail is too short and incorrectly trimmed, then with the help of a nail file, try to round its edges so that they do not stick into the skin. For this, you can also use a small plate (for example, cut out of an unnecessary film) or a piece of fleece, which should be placed under the edge of the nail plate.

After a while, the "wild meat" will settle, the sore spot will heal, and the properly trimmed nail will not bother the finger.

In the event of suppuration or bleeding, it is recommended to use ointments that are drawn out by pus and prevent the development of infection. For these purposes, Levomekol and Balsam Vishnevsky are suitable. The product is applied to a piece of gauze or bandage, applied to the wound and wrapped with a plastic wrap, and on top of the foot is put on a sock to fix the bandage.
