Indifferent people in most cases deliberately put on the "mask" of indifference
An indifferent person or "nihilist" is a character perfectly complementing the picture of today's world and even pretending to be "positive". Having set himself some goal, he is able to concentrate on it to such an extent that the rest of his life (including concern for the welfare of his loved ones) will go to the background.
This ability in modern society is called purposefulness (some psychologists call it relative pofigism) and is considered a positive quality. Absolute "nihilist" from the relative differs in that it is indifferent not only to the needs of other people, but also to their own.
An ideal form of indifference is considered reasonable "pofigizm." The attractiveness of this form of non-participation is that, regardless of what impression this person leaves on himself, he will remain indifferent in any situation, "not noticing" negative events. But if he does notice something negative, he will not give it any meaning.
What is indifference?
Indifference is peculiar to many people and does not arise without reasons. One indifferent person from childhood received everything he wanted, grew selfish, used to think only of himself and do not care about others. Another, brought up in an atmosphere of mutual respect, but found himself in a situation where his good was answered with evil, lost faith in justice and deliberately turns a blind eye to someone's cruelty.
People related to the second type, not wanting that the unpleasant situation is repeated again, are removed from what is happening and often pass by cruelty. But there is also a third type of people. "Everyone gets what he deserves. Intervening, I prevent them from correcting what their ancestors or they did in their past lives, "this is the course of their thoughts.
On the causes of indifference
No less dangerous are teenage psychological and bodily injuries, received because of love experiences. Young, but indifferent person, even once experienced a strong mental (or bodily) pain, can forever lose faith in people.
Deficiency of affection and warmth, experienced in childhood, is also a good "building material". According to statistics, the majority of indifferent people were "not in love" in childhood.
"People, remain indifferent!" (The motto of the psychopath)
Apathy is a psychological disorder that lies in wait for everyone, both lucky and unsuccessful. It can arise in any person, regardless of his psychological and material solvency. The main cause of apathy, and, consequently, indifference, some doctors call boredom. It is from boredom, according to a group of specialists, that even the happiest families with the work of their dreams and educating talented and obedient children are not insured.
A fun and sociable person in an indifferent and apathetic can turn a situation:
- When he is in tension for a long time;
- Can not rest;
- Survived the death of loved ones or dismissal from work;
- When an indifferent person, worse than others adapting in society, is ashamed of his natural needs;
- Suffers from a lack of understanding from others;
- Is under the pressure of the person on whom it depends;
- When he takes hormonal drugs.
Psychologists are advised to look for reasons for indifference in the inner world of the patient - where all of his grievances and desires live. Specialists from the field of psychology consider indifference as a way to protect themselves from stress and negativity.
Many people with psychological disorders deliberately put on a "mask" of indifference in the hope of closing themselves off from a hostile world that has long rejected them.
Indifference with the eyes of a philosopher
Philosophers regard indifference as a moral problem, based on the lost awareness of the importance of each person as a unique individual. Gradually turning into a tool for achieving their own goals, considering each other as a commodity, people themselves become things.
