How to transfer contacts with Nokia to Nokia and not only

Surely every owner of a new phone, and a gadget from Nokia, in particular, faced the problem of transferring data from an old device to a recently purchased one. There are quite a lot of different ways to solve this problem, but we will focus on the most popular, proven and more or less simple.

Depending on the situation, each person will choose the appropriate method for himself:

  • Through a personal computer;
  • Using a remote web service;
  • By means of an external storage;
  • Traditional - using a SIM card.

So, let's consider in more detail how to transfer contacts from Nokia to Nokia is most painless for the data itself and for the user's nervous system.

Transfer via personal computer

For this option we will need the PC itself, the old phone, a new gadget and a YUSB type cable (preferably branded). As a help in this case the MOBILedit utility will be used. You can, of course, use the proprietary software from Nokia, but many experienced users prefer to use third-party applications after close acquaintance with Nokia PC Suite, due to numerous mistakes and shortcomings of the latter.

MOBILedit

Before you transfer contacts from Nokia to Nokia, you will need to download this software to your computer. Find "MOBAILedit" on the official website of the developer, then you need to install the program on your PC and run. With the download and installation of problems should not arise - everything is intuitive and simple.

Before you transfer contacts from Nokia to your computer, you need to install the driver in MOBILEDit. To make the process go faster, select your phone model from the drop-down list and agree with the installation.

After the drivers are correctly installed, you need to go to the tab "Phone -> Cable connection". If the program asks for the type of connection, then select PC Sync (synchronize with PC) and in the next step we connect debugging already on the phone.

Before you drop contacts with Nokia, you need to include the location on the USB on your phone. To do this, go to the settings devaysa, then open the "Parameters Developer" and put a checkmark in the item "USB debugging".

Exporting Data

After that, go to the "Phone Book" tab and select "Export Contacts". The utility will ask for the type of file to save and the location where it will be located. Enter the required data and save the export file.

Then you can already transfer contacts from Nokia to "Android" via "MOBAILedit". To do this, you can use the USB cable, "Bluetooth" or "Wai-Fay". In the utility select the item "Import", and then import the saved file with contacts. With this software you can export contacts from Nokia to iPhone or any other gadget with iOS platform.

The application "Yandex.Disk"

An interesting and fairly simple version of data migration with the help of a domestic search engine, namely the application "Yandeks.Disk." All we need is a personal computer connected to the network.

Before you transfer contacts with Nokia to Nokia, you will need to download the application "Yandex.Pereezd" and "Yandex.Disk" to your phone. You can find it either on Google Play, or on the vastness of the search engine itself (in the mobile version).

But here there is one nuance: "Yandex.Pereezd" is installed on the old phone, and "Yandeks.Disk" - on the new gadget.

Step-by-step instruction

Before you transfer contacts from Nokia to Nokia, you need to activate your account in the search engine, that is, just enter it in order to save the data there later. The whole process is quite simple, and the execution of all the items must pass without problems.

  1. Run the software on a new gadget and log into the account with the same data that was used on the old phone.
  2. Go to "Menu" -> "Settings" -> "Move" from phone to phone. "
  3. The utility will ask for the code combination that you received earlier, enter it and confirm the move.
  4. After the procedure is completed, the program notifies you of the successful completion.

Google Drive

The transfer of Nokia contacts to a new gadget can be done with the help of a similar Google search engine and its Google application. For this, as well as in the first case, we need a personal computer connected to the network, and a special software.

The main principle of the "Google Drive" is the synchronization of data of your devices. This is quite practical, especially if you want to make some changes to the phone, and it was not at hand.

In order to synchronize contacts, you need to activate your account on "Google Drive" both in the phone and on the PC. On the left side of the screen, select "Gmail" and then click on the "Contacts" tab. Next, you'll see import options that you can customize according to your wishes, and then start the synchronization / import procedure.

It is also worth noting that "Google Disk" allows you to recover lost data that has been erased within the last 30 days.

Transfer of contacts without a PC

If you can not connect your gadget to a personal computer, then as an alternative to copying data, you can consider transferring contacts via wireless protocols. The simplest and most reliable method is "Blutuz", so we'll look at it.

In order to migrate contacts from one "Nokia" to another, you need to perform the following steps point by point:

  • Turn on both your phones;
  • Activate the protocol "Bluetooth" on both devices (mandatory: "We see for other devices");
  • On the old "Nokia" go to the "Bluetooth" menu and find a new gadget;
  • Confirm the synchronization by entering the PIN code on both the old and new devices;
  • In the phone book, mark all contacts that you want to export, or select all;
  • In the same drop-down menu, select "Send" -> "Using Bluetooth";
  • When the procedure is completed, the utility notifies you of successful copying.

SD and SIM cards

These are quite old methods that can only be used in extreme cases, because they are fraught with inconvenient restrictions and do not always reflect correctly, especially if the phone models are different, as well as the platforms on which they operate.

To transfer contacts using the SD card, you must do the following:

  • Insert the drive into the old device;
  • In the phone book in the drop-down menu select the item "Save contacts to external media";
  • Extract the SD card and install it on a new gadget;
  • Using the "Import" item in the phone book, start the migration of contacts from the external drive.

In the most desperate situations, you can use the data copying with the SIM card. In order to copy the data, you need to insert the card into your old phone, then use the drop-down menu in the phone book to perform the export. After, rearranging the SIM card into a new device, you need to import contacts in the same phone book.

The main inconvenience of this method is the limitations on the number of characters in the subscriber's name (8 characters), that is, before transferring data from one device to another, you will have to shorten all names to a limit or be content with "trimming". In addition, there are restrictions on the number of contacts - no more than two hundred, so after exceeding the limit, you will have to look for the 201st contact and continue the procedure. The method is extremely inconvenient, but if there was no personal computer at hand, the Internet or even the light was turned off, then such an option would do.
