How to sew boots at home with their own hands?

It seems that in the modern age of advanced technology, the problem of how to saddle boots is not to stand in front of a person. After all, if suddenly they lose weight, the consumer can always go to the store and buy new ones, because the store shelves are bursting with an overabundance of consumer goods. But no!

Trendy boots on Tanya's legs

The fashion was not ordinary, but exclusive felted boots: multicolored, embroidered with beads and rhinestones, with sewn appliqués, lace trimmed with fur. Such felt boots on the legs should be put under the very queen! Only so sorry for such masterpieces of manual work to spoil the buses and the wet running boards of trams. Yes, and go to the store sometimes it is required - and on the dirty floor you have to walk in amazing boots ...

Here comes to mind the thought: but do not make valenochka soles in advance, immediately after buying or making, if you made the boots at home with your own hands? Of course, this is a wonderful way out! Alas, only few know how to sew boots, unfortunately.

Tools and materials for work

Sole

Of course, very important point is the material from which the sole will be made. You can use the bootlegs of old boots, cutting out the outlines of a foot with a sharp shoe knife. It is important to remember only that the felt sole should be 1-2 cm larger than the foot of the person who will then wear felted boots. You can cut out the sole of dermatitis, leatherette or rubber.

And some prefer to use ready-made rubber soles for filing, which are also bought at specialized outlets.

Thread for filing boots

The second important point is the preparation of thread for the filing. Today you can buy special materials for shoemaking repairs. But in the absence of those, it is really possible to make the threads themselves, by twisting them from several stiff or silk threads and waxing them. For waxing, a paraffin candle, wax or soap is used. The thread is dragged through wax, soap or paraffin, holding the latter in one hand, and the tangle in the other. The thread is cut into the edge of soap or paraffin, stretches along the formed groove and as a result is covered with a protective layer, which also helps it to slide well during work.

Sometimes for filing felt boots use a thick fishing line. It should be remembered that for the master to work, two coils of thread are needed.

Tools for sewing

Since it is impossible to sew the felt boots without having to stretch the thread through two layers of material, the master will need an awl to make holes. And you need a special shoe hook. It is very similar to the knitting, only made of high-strength steel and sharply sharpened. Well, you need a sharp shoe knife, which can be replaced with a scalpel or an acute dangerous razor.

Hand protection - safety

Fingers should be wrapped around with an adhesive plaster to insure them from cuts and calluses.

Getting Started - Preparation

Since it is correct to sew boots - it's not tricky at all, you can try to do it yourself. If everything necessary for the work is prepared, then you can start working.

In the left (not leading) hand one of the wax cords is taken . Hand with a ball is placed inside the felt boots. In the right hand shoemaking, the master takes a hook. If necessary, you first need to pierce both stitched layers with an awl and then continue with the crochet.

The sole for the felt boots is first to "sweep": to make a piercing crochet in the front part of the felt - the lower part of it is meant, which will be in contact with the floor and the ground. The end of the thread is stretched by the crochet from the tangle, which is inside, outward. Then the loop is also pulled out side by side, cut. Two tips are tightly connected.

Then, according to the same algorithm, the back of the sole is "tackled". Then it is recommended to make a transverse shoe seam from the rear attachment point to the front.

Description of the shoe seam

The sole itself can be sewn in two ways: through the edge, when one ball is inside the felt, and the outer edge, when the punctures are not made inside the boot, but outwards sideways. Then the hand with the ball no longer makes sense to put inside the shoe.

As mentioned above, to sew the felt boots with your own hands, the master will need two coils of thread. In the process of work, it is located on different sides of the seam. And now let's go directly to the process of reviewing how to sew boots.

The instructions for laying the seam are very similar to sewing sewing machines. The master pierces the article with a crochet, grabs the thread from the first tangle, pulls the end outward and ties the tip of the thread from the second tangle to it.

Then, at a distance of a centimeter, the second puncture is made by crochet, the first thread is again captured, but it is stretched by a noose. In the loop, a ball is pierced with a second, outer thread. With the force produced by the contraction of the seam - that's when the fingers not wound in advance with an adhesive plaster can suffer!

Restoration together with decorative finishing - two in one

According to such an algorithm, the seam is made according to the previously indicated chalk, dry soap or pencil, and the handle of the path. At the very end of the seam, one of the threads is cut off (if the seam is inside the felt, then this will be the inner thread), and the ends are tightly bound.

In the same way, you can sew the backs or sew socks with felt leather, impose patches or decorative applications. But if the felt boots are already sewn with holes already formed and rubbed in the form of pits, then before putting patches or sewing soles into pits (or holes), it is necessary to put a piece of cotton wool or sintepon tightly.

And you can "hide" the defects of shoes for fur trim, embroidery, lace or rhinestones. Thus, it will be possible to add charm boots to charmers and to produce a qualitative restoration of the product.
