How to start writing essays? How can I start the composition?
Not everyone can be a writer. For someone to write an essay does not cost anything, but someone immediately gets sick from the mere thought that something needs to be invented. At once there is a question on how to start writing-reasoning, what to write and how to adjust the text to the required volume. However, if you understand, everything is very simple here: a little time, a little wit and you can act.
Start from the middle
The beginning of the composition of the Russian language can be different. Someone writes about what will happen in the text, someone starts to talk about one and gradually turns to the main topic. But all without exception think about how you can start the composition-reasoning, what thesis to use, where to start the story.
Some people ponder over these questions for a long time, and some have adapted to circumvent them by cunning tricks: they first describe the most important, then draw a conclusion and only at the end write the "second conclusion" of the written, which is the beginning of the composition. Simply put, this is a method that is based on the fact that writing essay-reasoning begins with the main points. We should consider it step by step.
Stages of writing text
- The main idea. The contractor should not think about how to start his own text, which one to choose the thesis or to put the question. The beginning is better to postpone for later. The first thing is to show the main idea of the work, fully revealing the topic.
- Summarizing. The last paragraph of each essay is allotted to sum up what was written. That is, it is necessary to confirm or refute what was said, depending on the purpose of the work.
- Introductory part. Write the beginning to the text much easier when the composition is ready. The beginning of the composition-reasoning can be presented in the form of a question or a thesis. Also, work can begin with several affirmative proposals, which are confirmed in the conclusions. Simply put, the introductory part follows from the conclusions.
Why start with the middle easier?
Each composition consists of three main components:
- Introduction.
- Main part.
- Conclusions.
There is always a task on which topic you want to write an essay, that is, what the main part should be about. That's why starting a text with the disclosure of a topic is much easier. After that, it becomes clear how you can start the composition and how to finish it. This technique allows you to more appropriately allocate time for the task, which is especially appropriate for the USE.
How much should the introductory part occupy?
The opening part of the composition should not be large - a maximum of 5 sentences. This paragraph should answer such questions:
- What will be written?
- What opinion will I support?
- What do I associate with the theme of the composition?
- Why do I want to write this?
Answering the question about how to start writing, you can say that in the introductory part you need to write concentrated, condensed information, and in the main - to dilute it with explanations.
What can be the introduction?
In any case, the most difficult is the beginning. Many people have a question about how to start an essay on a topic asked by the teacher. The introduction of the composition can have several options:
- Analytics. The performer analyzes the main theme of the work and defends his point of view. He can, for example, agree with some facts or statements or refute what has been proven before. Using common sense and logical reasoning, the author is obliged to show why he thinks so, and not otherwise. And in the introductory part it is necessary to write about what viewpoint is supported by the author and on what side this will be considered.
- General characteristics. Especially relevant is this version of the introduction, when you need to analyze the literary hero or the plot of a particular work. Then you can start the composition with a description of its general characteristics, meaning and role.
- Lyrics. Perhaps this is a universal introductory tool, which is actively used not only for school essays, but also in large literature. How to start writing in this way? Yes, it's very simple! It is necessary to connect the topic and life experience. For example: "Last year in my village ..." or "I once went ...".
- Modernity. Very often you can find works that begin with the words: "In the modern era, when it changed ...". A roll call with modernity can be a double-edged sword that can protect its creator, presenting the author as an erudite personality, and destroying his creation, turning the text into yet another critique of modernity. The main thing here is to follow the main idea of the text.
Your opinion
It does not matter how the introduction of the text is lyrical or historical. The main thing is for the author to show his thought, then, as he thinks, and not books with ready-made works. For this you can use such speech cliches as:
- "The meaning of the last sentence of the work says that ...".
- "In my opinion, here it is a question of that ...".
- "I think that the thought of the author of this work is ...".
- "The author of this book makes the reader think about such issues as ...".
- "The main idea of the text is the following ...".
- "Supporting the author's statement, I understand it as ...".
In the introductory part you can operate with introductory words, which confirm the personal thought of the author.
Composition on the Unified State Examination: recommendations on writing the introductory part
Especially acute is the question of how to start writing, faces the participants of the USE, when nerves are already in tense instability, and the topic of writing is far from the knowledge available in the head.
The first thing to do is to calm down. If the topic of the essay is new to you, you need to determine what exactly is known about it, and start writing about it. This will be the main part of the work. To reveal a question in which the author is maximally informed, it is necessary as much as possible. Only after this you can begin writing the introduction. If the given topic and the written correspond, then you can simply recall the statements of famous people and add introductory clichés or restrict oneself to several sentences of analytical, lyrical or character type.
When a given topic does not really correspond to what was written, since it reflects one of the possible edges of the main idea, then in the introductory part it is necessary to operate with one's own opinion. For example, you can start as follows: "There are many opinions on this issue, but it seems to me that ...".
Writing is simple. And if there are no ideas on how to start the text, you can just try to disclose the main topic, and start writing at the end.
