From the selected material will depend on the model. Want to have a beautiful frill that covers the space to the floor, or you just need the bed to be slightly covered. Before you sew a blanket to the bed, you must remove all the necessary measurements from furniture, choose the style of the finished product and think about how it will be combined with the rest of the interior items.

How to sew a blanket on a bed from a monophonic satin with a frill? We measure the dimensions of the sleeping surface. If your bed has a backrest, then the ruffle is sewn on only three sides. If the bed has two backrests, then the frill will only be on the two sides. Consider the option when the size of the bed is 220x160, and the distance from the floor to the top of the mattress is 50 centimeters. In this case, the bed has only one back.

If we take an atlas with a width of 110 centimeters, then we need 320 centimeters of fabric on the base and 400 centimeters on the frill. For the laying, let's take a sintepon with a width of 220 centimeters and a length of 160 centimeters, and for a lining a comfortable canvas 220x160 centimeters is perfect. The cut into the base covered the cut in half and we get two strips of 160 centimeters each. Sew them and see before you a canvas 220x160 with a transverse seam. Stroke the seam. Then we add the atlas with the synthepon. We quilter our base in any order with a pre-designed drawing.

Now let's get to the frill. We mark on the fabric two bands 50 cm wide and cut them off. Sew in a single cloth length of 800 centimeters. We process the edge, which will be at the bottom and sides, with the help of a hem. We gather the upper edge of the frill to the thread. Fold the base and frill with the inside sides, equalize the slices and evenly distribute the assembly on three sides. We prick it with needles. We connect the details with a stitch, after which we remove all the needles.

We spread out the blanket on a flat surface, straightening the frill inward and covering the sheet with a face down. We connect the parts with the help of needles. We grind the parts around the perimeter, leaving a small section in the headboard unguarded. We turn our product on the front side and sew up the hole. Well straighten all corners and stitches.

We lay a finishing line around the perimeter of the base of our product. Sewing the bedspread on the bed was easy. This decoration of your bedroom will cost much less than the purchase, and will wear a shade of personality, because it is made by themselves.

Now let's look at how to sew a blanket on a bed without a frill hanging around the edges. For this we need the same measurements as in the previous case. The basis of our bed is 220x160 centimeters. The desired length of the drooping edge covered 30 centimeters. Bed with one back. Adding 30 centimeters from each free side, we get the desired size of 250x220 centimeters. We take an atlas width of 110 centimeters and a length of 5 m. A cut of a sheet of 250x220 in size and the same cut of the synthepon. In this case, 220 centimeters is the width of the material, and 250 centimeters is the length.

Cut 5 meters of satin into two pieces of 250 centimeters each and sew in one sheet. We get a base with a longitudinal seam. We put it on the cut of the sintepon face up and quilquize all over the area. Now we cut off the cut sheet and the satin piece with the front sides inside and sew, leaving a small area open. We turn our product on the front side. Straighten all the seams and corners. Sew the hole and lay a finishing stitch along the entire perimeter of the product.

In the same way, you can sew a blanket on the sofa, using the material in the same color scheme as the curtains.
