How to photograph correctly

The camera is now available almost in every family, in every home. Photography in general is the most, perhaps, a mass and accessible kind of art. With a camera, literally anyone can become a real artist, even without the ability to draw. Modern digital technology can make any person a photographer, and you do not need to think about the exposure and setting of other shooting parameters at all, you can just point the camera at the "target" and press the button - and the picture is ready.

With a light and compact digital camera, any traveler can bring home a very large number of "digital memories" about a trip to exotic Thailand or the fabulous Maldives ... In this simplicity and accessibility lies the secret of the immense popularity of modern amateur photography. But only not always, looking at the computer screen pictures from the Maldives archipelago, you can find out in their truly paradise places to which the lens of the digital "soap dish" was aimed ...

Why does this happen? How to make a beautiful photo that conveys all the charms of the plot? Is it really necessary to buy a very expensive professional camera with many functions? But the most interesting thing is that very often the pictures taken even by a highly professional camera also look gray and plain-looking ...

Of course, a lot depends on the quality of the camera, but the price of the camera is not the determining factor for obtaining beautiful photos. A camera is only a tool in the hands of a photographer, just as brushes and colors act as tools for the artist. So you just need to know how to properly take pictures and how to correctly use all the opportunities that the photographer provides his photographer.

In order to understand how to learn to photograph beautifully, you need to firmly note for yourself: to get a beautiful artistic picture, it's not enough just to throw up the camera and press the button. With such a shoot, good photos can only come out by chance, but a lot of wonderful moments will be irretrievably lost ...

To make a complete picture of how to properly photograph, you will have to touch the history of photography quite a bit. Since the invention of photography in the very basis of photo art, little has changed. Of course, modern technologies have appeared, but they mainly concern the registration of images, settings and all the amenities that make life easier for the photographer.

But the whole image is still formed by a beam of light that has passed through the lens, and the laws of photocomposition, borrowed from painting, are still valid and will work in the following millennia, just like the concepts of "golden section", "light", "shadow" "," Exposition "and many others ...

To fully learn how to properly photograph and how to make a beautiful photo, you can only in practice. Therefore, take in your hands your favorite "number" and - go ahead!

To begin with, let's analyze the case when you have a fully automatic "soap box" or an expensive camera with automatic mode turned on. Let's take as data that the automation is set up and works irreproachably.

One of the most common mistakes of an amateur photographer, especially a tourist, is to photograph a person against the background of an interesting natural or architectural object or a sculpture of considerable size, and the person being removed is placed in close proximity to the monument. In order for "everything to come in", the photographer departs a considerable distance. As a result, the person in the picture comes out barely discernible, and in the foreground often simply turns out to be an unoccupied space. The solution to this problem can be a simple placement of a person closer to the photographer.

Compose the picture in such a way that the important part occupies most of the area of the picture, otherwise you can get pictures showing only the head of the person portrayed at the bottom, and everything else takes either a dazzling sky or a background landscape.

When shooting against the light, you risk getting only dark silhouettes of people on a bright background: the automation will honestly work out the exposure on the weighted average brightness and give out such an unfavorable result. In order to obtain a picture under these conditions, turn off the automation and set the exposure for the important part. Or, you can select the automatic shooting mode against the light or enter a correction, if the camera allows it. Otherwise, do not shoot.

When shooting general plans in crowded lighting conditions (for example, in a concert hall), an inexpensive soap box with a built-in flash often produces shots that are dark and "noisy". For such filming, you need to use more serious equipment.

In order to learn how to properly photograph, it is not enough to read one article or instruction to an expensive camera. We need to study the basics of photocomposition and phototechnics, study the works of outstanding contemporary masters of past years and, most importantly, develop the sense of the Beautiful in ourselves. Only this way you can learn how to learn to photograph beautifully.
