How to make floor vases with your own hands

Once in a hospitable house, I noticed one thing, namely a vase standing in a place of honor near the fireplace. The hostess said with some pride that she was made by her, and showed her other masterpieces. It turns out that made desktop or floor vases with their own hands will be a source of special pride and can help save money when arranging a home. It's no secret that sometimes mezzanines, closets and balcony cupboards are filled with things that are not used, and throw it away. And only some originals come up with the idea to turn this rubbish into a design thing. So with taste you can get rid of unnecessary home junk.

Is it easy to make, for example, an outdoor vase? Yes, although some items require some time and perseverance. Unexpected floor vases with their own hands are obtained from those who act according to the proverb "gol on fiction craftiness." Beginners should start with less intricate items - desktop vases, but the outdoor vase, in fact, is already a design object. It is necessary to think over what height and shape it is suitable for your interior, where it will stand, determine the color scheme, and the purpose of your product. Making a vase for flowers with your own hands involves the use of materials that do not pass moisture, or will have to provide for the possibility of placing a vessel with water inside. This greatly narrows the range of raw materials. But the outdoor vase can be used simply as a decorative element or with the filling of artificial flowers, dried flowers, bamboo.

Unique floor vases with their own hands are made from various materials. Of course, you can take a glass container of the right size or a ceramic pot, decorate them with stained-glass paints, decorate with glass beads or tinted croup, use decoupage techniques. But more often I want to give the old thing a new life.

Let's look at how to make an outdoor vase with your own hands.

The constituent parts of the vase are a bucket from the primer, paint, putty, a plastic bottle of a convenient size and a three-liter plastic bottle.

Previously, all these items need to be washed, removed paper labels, rubbed with alcohol or turpentine.

After that you can go to the main stage of the work. In the bucket, insert the bottle, previously cutting off its upper part above the middle. Then in the bottle, insert the bottle also with a pre-cut neck. Fix them at the base with the glue "Moment". The space between a bucket, a bottle and a bottle to give the strength of the construction is filled with a mass of papier-mache. For this, old newspapers must be crushed, poured hot water and let stand. After this, squeeze out newspaper clippings and mix with PVA to a homogeneous mass. Further, as we fill the empty spaces, we begin to literally sculpt the shape of the vase. We leave to dry.

After the vase has dried, it must be primed, again allowed to dry and sand for smoothness with sandpaper - the vase is ready for decoration. We paint it in the main color two or three times with the use of paints in an aerosol container (preferably not indoors). The final decor opens up room for experimentation - unusual outdoor vases with their own hands can be made seasonal. The summer version can be decorated with decoupage techniques, find beautiful napkins with floral ornaments or paint yourself. The autumn variant can assume an ornament from the leaves. The final touch in the design of the vase is the application of two or three layers of lacquer.

The process of creating vases is simple, but very exciting. The craftspeople say that it tightens. Any unnecessary object can turn into a unique masterpiece, the production of which is a kind of art therapy, because it is not only labor, but also soul, desire, positive energy.
