How to make a paper revolving device

Any crafts, made by your own hands, always and everywhere are popular. It happens that this or that technique is out of fashion. But it takes several years (and sometimes a little more) - and capricious fashion, having made a circle, returns to the previous favorites. This is felt especially keenly when it comes to children's crafts.

Hands to work for children is very useful, the development of fine motor skills is beneficial for speech and intelligence in general. And what can parents offer their babies? Naturally, first of all, what they once did together with their fathers and mothers. Most often these are appliques and crafts in origami technique. Or here, for example, a turntable made of paper. It's very easy to make it, and it will bring a lot of joy to a child.

Step one: select materials

Of course, the brightest is a spinner made of paper with two-sided coloring. If you are going to make a weathervane of a small size, the usual color paper will do. For a larger toy to hold its shape well, it's better to take a thick scrapbooking paper, coated wrapping paper or foil, or maybe even wallpaper. You can use album sheets or whatman. The best way to paint a white sheet in bright colors is to a small artist. Let him use pencils, markers or paints, and then he is rightfully proud of the result.

In addition to paper you will need a stick-holder for the turntable, a small stud (or button, a needle - depending on the size of the toy) and scissors.

Step two: the turntable is born

From paper we cut out the square of the right size. Fold it in half diagonally. The resulting triangle is doubled again. Carefully iron the folds and unfold the square. On the lines of folds, we make incisions, slightly short of the center of the square. Now gently bend the corners towards the center and fix them in this position with a stud or button.

The resulting design is fixed on a stick-holder (for a small turntable this can be an ordinary pencil). Needle or carnations must not be immersed in the stick, leaving a distance of about 0.5-1 cm. This is necessary for the toy to spin freely.

Step Three: Free Parts

In general, our turntable is made of paper. You can make many such weathercocks, decorate them with a house or yard. The handicraft will easily replace the postcard to the birthday person or the newlyweds, if on each "petal" you write a wish. You can diversify the appearance of the toy, disguising the place of connecting the corners with a circle or a flower made of paper. You can complicate the shape of the "petals", increase their number (for this it is sufficient to use two squares, overlapping them one by one). Experiment with the color and texture of the turntables - these experiences will be admired with delight by your children.

By the way, children like not only to walk on the street with such turntables, but also to "replace" the wind. This breathing exercise is very useful for developing the muscles responsible for diction. And if your baby still can not pronounce "p", "c" or other sounds, it's time for you to take up the turntable!
