How to draw a cosmonaut step by step

Many children in response to the question "what do you want to become when you grow up?" With a fervent reply: "Cosmonaut!". They dream of space and stars, hang posters on the walls of their room from Star Trek and Star Wars, run to friends to watch at night in a telescope. How much joy this child will get if mom or dad teach him how to draw an astronaut! After all, he can proudly hang this picture next to Yoda or Luke Skywalker.

It will be much easier for your child to learn the technology if you show him how to draw a cosmonaut in stages. This approach will allow us to master the basic principle and create new masterpieces, guided by our imagination, and not by someone's instructions. Knowledge of the proportions of the human body will allow the young artist to better understand how to draw an astronaut. Work on any image of this kind should begin with the designation of the baselines. In other words, it will be necessary to immediately sketch the location of the head, body, legs and hands.

In our step-by-step lesson "how to draw an astronaut", we specially selected the most simple position of the body: straight legs, hands down. This allows you to explain the basics of the image of this character, without being distracted by such concepts as proportions and physiology. But to create more interesting pictures, you should definitely familiarize yourself with them.

So, how to draw an astronaut? First, the base of the image is dumped.

When the artist remains satisfied with the proportions, you can proceed to draw a cosmonaut's ammunition. It is best to start with the most simple part - a helmet.

Now we work on the chest and shoulders.

Now we move on to the more complex parts of the spacesuit. In inexperienced artists, there may be problems with reliable images of folds (especially in the process of subsequent coloring). But do not be discouraged - a little practice will help to overcome this obstacle. So, first we work through the hands.

Then the belt.

And now we are working on trousers and gloves.

It's a small thing. Finalize the shoes.

Now it only remains to remove the extra lines and once again circle the necessary ones.

Now you know how to draw a cosmonaut with a pencil. If you want to do it in color, you can use colored wax crayons, gouache, pastel, watercolor or any other coloring matter. Or you can resort to the help of special programs - graphic editors. To do this, you will need to scan the image and open the resulting document in "Photoshop", "Paint" or some other similar software.

Approximately this looks like a completed drawing, painted in Photoshop, provided that the artist is not a master in this program (in which case the result will be much more impressive).

Thus, now you know how to draw an astronaut, and this knowledge will allow you to experiment with other poses and angles.
