How to clear the dns cache

Surely you were faced with a problem when, while working on the Internet and trying to download any pages, you had a message that the server was not found. Or your browser told you that it can not display the page. Most of these problems are really related to server, host, or your server failure. However, it often happens that the problem lies in your car. In this case, you need to clear the DNS cache. This is done with the ipconfig / flushdns command.

To perform this procedure, you must call up the start menu, then select "Run" and from there call the command line. Please note that the layout of your keyboard must be English. When you see the system prompt in the folder with the user name, enter the above command and confirm the action with the enter key. After this, the DNS cache is cleared. You will be informed of this by the system.

By itself, DNS is a system that establishes matches between text names and numeric IP addresses. So that you understand what is at stake, imagine how you enter the address of a site into the browser. At this point, the DNS system translates this address from characters to IP, for example, 111.111.111.111.

In order to successfully clear the cache-DNS, you must have a service called the DNS client. It allows this computer to understand DNS names as addresses, placing them in the cache. If this service is stopped for some reason, the system will not be able to resolve DNS-names, and there will not be a directory service, which is called Active Directory for domain controllers.

So, if this service is disabled, the computer will not launch any program that is obviously dependent on it. By default, the start type is set to "auto". The executable file itself is located in the Windows system folder, namely in the System32 directory. You will not be able to clear the DNS cache when the service is not running. With this attempt, the system will display a message stating that it can not clean up.

It follows that in order to clear the DNS cache, you need to start the DNS client. To do this, call the start menu, then go to the setting where you want to start the control panel. In its window, look for the administration icon, in which there will be a section of services. When this window opens, you will have to allocate the service of the CSN client and start it.

In order to determine the automatic start type of the DNS client, open the start menu again, in which the service window should be started using the above method. There you will have to select and start the client DNS service again. Next you need to use the right button of your manipulator to go to properties. Find a tab called "General." In the drop-down list, you must select the automatic start type. After that just confirm this setting with the "OK" button.

Now you have an idea of how to clear the DNS cache . I hope you can do it on your own. If not, then it's better to contact a specialist who will help you in any case.
