How to brew a dog rose in a thermos bottle: useful tips

Hips of wild rose are a unique natural medicinal product, which has a pronounced anti-cold effect. The fruits and leaves of this plant contain a rich vitamin complex: rutin (vitamin P), carotene (provitamin A), vitamins B, E, K. By the amount of vitamin C, the dog rose beats all records: its content in 100 grams of fruits is, on average , 1.2 grams, which is several times more than in lemon and black currant. In addition, the hips contain an impressive amount of plant antioxidants - they have a powerful antibacterial effect and strengthen immunity. These properties make berry bushes an indispensable tool in the treatment and prevention of colds. To fight the disease, you can brew the dog-rose in a thermos with whole berries, and drink tea from its leaves.

Harvest the hips in late summer or early autumn. They should be soft, but not overripe. Corrupted and spoiled berries are discarded, with dark spots. After that, the dogrose is dried: keeping it fresh for a long time is irrational, since a considerable part of vitamin C is destroyed. For the same reason, do not dry the dog-rose in the sun: it is best to do this in a stove or special drying for vegetables. In extreme cases, the dog rose is allowed to dry in the shade, but it will also lose a significant amount of useful substances. To store the dried berries is best in tissue bags, and not in tightly closed jars. The maximum shelf life of dried hips is 2 years. During this time, it is suitable for preparing vitamin infusions. You can both brew rose hips in a thermos, and fill it with cold water and bring to a boil in enameled or heat-resistant glassware, then insist.

Before brewing the dogrose in a thermos bottle or in another container, it is necessary to revise the berries and discard those that have been damaged - for example, moldy. After this, take 1 tbsp. L. Dried rose hips, rinse them and grind them in a wooden (not metal!) Mortar. Then the raw material is poured into a glass of boiling water and boiled over low heat for about 10 minutes. Use utensils made of aluminum or stainless steel should not be, since vitamin C breaks down on contact with the metal. The broth is poured into a jar and insisted for 24 hours, then it must be filtered through two layers of gauze.

There is another way - steaming fruit in the thermos. In this case, before preparing the broth of the dogrose, it is not necessary to grind its berries: the thermos holds the heat for a long time and they will have time to warm up properly, giving all the useful substances. In this way, the broth is prepared much faster and can not be filtered, but only drained into a glass jar. Since brewing a dogrose in a thermos must be done daily (the infusion is suitable for use during the day), it is better to do it from the evening, then by the morning it will be ready. If you insist on a dog rose in the thermos for more than 8 hours, the vitamins will begin to break down.

There is another way of brewing the dog-rose, which makes it possible to make infusion the most enriched with useful substances. This recipe is useful, for example, to those who want to know how to brew a dog rose to a child during illness or after it, to strengthen immunity. Dried fruits are ground, poured with boiling water and insisted for half an hour. After that, the infusion is drained, and the fruits are again flooded with water and subjected to a longer boil: this will help to avoid the destruction of vitamins, but will enrich the broth with microelements that are not afraid of high temperatures. Broth of dogrose filter and mix with infusion.

Drink a decoction or briar infusion half a cup 3-4 times a day. Norm for children - a third of the glass, 2-3 times a day. The therapeutic effect occurs quickly: in addition to enriching the body with vitamins, this agent helps to eliminate toxins, so the well-being at its reception improves with each passing day.
