How is the microphone checked?

The microphone test in Windows 7 is performed in several stages. First of all, you should make sure that everything is connected correctly. If you use a system unit with a standard motherboard, then the headphone and microphone jacks should be located on the rear panel: the green connector is for headphones, the pink one for the microphone.

The microphone verification program is already integrated into the operating system. To call it, you need to go to the Hardware and Sound tab from the control panel menu. Before setting up the device, make sure that the special driver "Realtek HD Manager" is installed.

On the "Sound" tab, you go to "Record". With two clicks, a menu is called in which you can adjust the levels. Then the microphone test will give positive results, while for the analog signal it is necessary to debug its intensity. To do this, call up the parameters window of the connectors and set the necessary checkboxes. After you press the OK button, the settings will be fixed and take effect. If the debugging is done correctly, you can safely use the microphone to communicate in the network or sing in karaoke.
