How is Soft Tegol made?

Recently, in the Russian roofing market, bitumen shingles are in great demand . One of the most popular roofing materials of this type is the Tegol tile. What are the reasons for the success of this brand?

One of the main features of the Canadian company "Tegola" is a powerful research laboratory, all of its innovative developments are immediately used in production.

Today Tegola shingles, imported to the Russian market, are produced at European factories of the company, one of which is located in Russia. At the same time, the soft roof produced at the Russian enterprise is of the same quality as the original samples, which is confirmed by the European quality certificates ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

High quality products are achieved due to the fact that the production of tiles is fully automated. All of its stages - from impregnating the fiberglass bitumen to packing the finished roof tiles are performed on a single line. Thus, the plant has implemented a full technological production cycle.

The production process is monitored in real time from the head office of the company. Flexible shingles and the raw materials used for its production are regularly tested in the Italian research laboratories of the company "Tegola". These studies confirm the high quality of both the raw material being examined and the finished roof.

Technologies and Materials

In the production of soft roofing "Tegola" special attention is paid to the most important components, which form the basis of flexible tiles: fiberglass, basalt granulate and bitumen.

Glass fiber is used as the main reinforcing element of flexible tiles. It has a weight of 100-125 g / sq. M, which allows to give the material mechanical strength.

In the manufacture of all models of flexible tiles for impregnating fiberglass high-quality SBS-modified bitumen is used. It makes the roof resistant to the adverse effects of natural factors, such as wind, precipitation, ultraviolet radiation, high humidity, significant temperature changes (Tegol shingles can withstand temperatures from -70 to + 150 ° C).

The coating of basalt granulate allows to additionally protect the bitumen from ultraviolet radiation and mechanical damages. Basalt is a rock that is particularly strong, has zero water absorption and an unlimited lifetime. All these properties can significantly improve the durability of soft roofing.

Basaltic granules of three different fractions are used to cover the front side of the shingles, which differ in size from one another. Granules can be given almost any shade, due to which the flexible Tegola tile has a wide color range.

For painting, ceramic technology is used - high-temperature firing of organic dyes, which turns them into glass. This technology allows the tile to maintain a strong, saturated color throughout its life.
