How do bandages fit on your head?

Bandages on the head can be safely attributed to the category of accessories that allow any woman to show their individuality. Now on sale you can find a large number of these products, in the manufacture of which manufacturers, as a rule, use various elastic materials. They can be made in the form of very thin ribbons, but they can be wide enough, completely covering the forehead. Both those and others are in constant demand among the fair sex, because they can simultaneously perform several different functions. On the one hand, they allow you to fix the hair while playing sports, on the other - it's designer jewelry, which brings the final touch to the image of a woman. They can protect from the cold in winter and save from the heat in the summer.

But no matter what original form or coloring the given product sold in the market, in a boutique or in a store, you in any case run the risk of meeting another woman exactly in the same bandage as you. Therefore, if you want to be the only owner of this accessory, you should make it yourself. Headbands can be sewn by sewing for this purpose a sufficiently elastic material, to weave with the help of macrame, and you can tie it. The latter way opens up great opportunities for your imagination. Firstly, almost every woman can bind a bandage to the head, since the basics of knitting are taught at school. Secondly, knitted products can be worn all the year round, the main thing is to choose the composition of the threads for the season. If you tie it from wool, then this product from the fashion accessory will turn into a headdress that can warm its owner even at a very low temperature. If you select a thread whose composition is identical or completely identical to the cotton-stretch, then this dressing will not be hot in the most hot summer, and it will be a perfect addition to a knitted swimsuit or top made of the same thread. Thirdly, knitwear can be very easily decorated not only through a pattern, but also through various decorative elements.

If you talk about how to tie a bandage on your head, then there are two possible ways:

  • Crochet;
  • Knitting needles.

At the very first stage in both cases it is necessary to connect the base in the form of a rectangle, the length of which will be 3-4 cm less than the head circumference, and the width is equal to the desired width of the finished product. By connecting the ends of the rectangle, you get a blank of the future bandage, which you can then decorate in your own taste, for example, a bound flower or beads.

When making this decoration crochet, it will be quite dense (with the appropriate selection of density and knitting patterns). If you choose columns without a crochet as the main pattern, the finished product will perfectly retain its shape, but if the selection of the yarn is incorrect, it will be tough. To prevent this, the composition of the threads must be such that the finished product can reach, easily returning to its original size. The density of knitting you can choose due to the number of hooks and the thickness of the thread. Very often bandages on the head are knit in the form of a garland of flowers. To do this, separate elements are detached, which are then joined together by a hook or sewn by threads. Such products are best suited for summer or in the case of a trip to hot countries.

Headbands connected with knitting needles are thinner, easily lose shape, and therefore they are best worn during the hot season. If you want to make this accessory for the off-season or winter, you should either pick up the yarn with the maximum amount of wool (in this case you need to take thinner knitting needles), or initially provide that the product you are making is two-layered. The width of the base in the latter case will be twice as large.

How to see, you can make such a fashion accessory yourself, spending a minimum of time, effort and materials.
