Hero of the USSR Zubarev Alexander

The future Hero of the Soviet Union Zubarev Alexander was born on August 26 in 1916. His father was a simple worker.

Peaceful years

Zubarev Alexander, whose photo you will find in this article, spent his childhood in Duzhkovka, located in the Donetsk region. Since his childhood, he dreamed of becoming a teacher. Therefore diligently mastered the knowledge, first he graduated from the ordinary, and then the school of factory training. But already in 1934 Alexander Zubarev began training at the Faculty of Geography of Kharkov Pedagogical Institute. He graduated in 1938. And after that Zubarev Alexander got a job as a geography teacher in the 88th Kharkiv school. During the work he was chosen secretary of the Komsomol school organization. Later Alexander Zubarev became secretary of the district committee of the LKSMU of Ordzhonikidzevsky district committee of the city of Kharkov. In 1940 he was admitted to the CPSU (b).

The War Begins

Alexander, who held the post of secretary of the district committee of the Komsomol, was charged with mobilizing youth and Komsomol members. More and more people were needed in the Red Army to fight fascism. But there was work in the rear for the youth. The guys and girls worked at the factories, producing industrial goods for the needs of the front. Alexander was responsible for organizing the socialist competition among young people. Such competitions were organized with the aim of increasing production volumes. Alexander dealt with the affairs of youth in the territory of Ordzhonikidzevsky district.

Against the enemy

Alexander Gordeevich Zubarev was the secretary of the Kharkov Regional Committee of the Young Communist League, therefore he had no right to oppose the decision of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks). In accordance with him, Zubarev was assigned to underground work and could not leave Kharkov, even when the German troops approached the city. Therefore, Zubarev led an underground Komsomol committee since 1941. Under the leadership of Alexander Georgievich, the members of the regional committee were engaged in anti-Nazi agitation, and issued leaflets. A total of 12 types of leaflets were issued, which came out in a circulation of 600,000 copies. Despite Zubarev's caution, he was still discovered and in the winter of 1942 the Gestapo arrested. The Nazis shot him after torture, lasting three weeks. On February 15, Alexander Zubarev was killed. His biography ends here.

Continuation of a story

He died during the war, but the memory of him is still alive. Already on May 8, 1965, an order was issued by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, conferring the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously) to Alexander Gordeevich Zubarev. In the same year he was awarded the Order of Lenin. And the memory of the Hero is honored in Druzhkov, the city where he was born. Bust of Zubarev is installed at the entrance to the 2nd comprehensive school. Remember about him and in Kharkov. In this city, one street is named after him. Zubarev's bust was installed in the Victory Park on the Alley of Komsomol Heroes in Kharkov. Still his bust is in front of the main entrance to the Kharkiv secondary school No. 88, where he did not work long. On the house where he lived, and at the institute, which he graduated, memorial plaques were installed.

I can not believe how such a young man (he was only 26 years old) was able to withstand the torture to which he was subjected by fascists, and not to betray his comrades. This is an excellent example of courage and fortitude, so his feat will never be forgotten.
