Grebnevo (manor): history and photo. Abandoned farmstead Grebnevo

In the vastness of Russia there are many interesting objects and significant historical and cultural attractions. One of them was more fortunate: museums were opened on their territory, only facades were preserved from others, and internal premises had long been transferred to some public institutions, while others remained only in the form of ruins. The latter category includes the Grebnevo complex - a manor and a park, located in an incredibly picturesque place.

History of creation

The manor complex was designed and erected under the guidance of the architect I. Vetrov. The customer and the first owner of the estate was Boyar B. Ya. Belsky. The complex begins its history in the 16th century. Later in different periods the estate was owned by: General GIBibikov, Golitsyn's wife, merchant Panteleyev. Each of the owners complemented the architectural ensemble, seeking something to improve and remake. In 1845, the merchant Panteleev converted the main palace to distillery and vitriol production, resulting in irreparable damage to the original interior decoration. But, despite all these alterations in Grebnevo, the manor has kept its facade to our days, even if it is very neglected.

Manor complex in the XX century

In 1913 the main buildings were repaired, and a private sanatorium was opened in Grebnevo. It was headed by Dr. F. A. Grinevsky. It is worth noting that the estate complex is located on a fairly large area. It included the main palace, two wings, two churches, luxurious front doors, outbuildings and decorative elements. In addition, around the central house was laid out a well-maintained park, turning into apple orchards. The windows of the palace and the front yard looked out onto a picturesque pond.

During the Soviet Union, the sanatorium of the NA Semashko was located in the estate, then the osteo-tuberculosis sanatorium, and afterwards the Shchelkovo technical school and the house of culture. In the 1980s, the value of the Grebnevo complex was recognized, the estate became an open cultural center. The reserve existed until 1991. The cause of his death and emergency closure was a fire, which seriously damaged the main palace.

Homestead Grebnevo: a history of decline in our days

Today the object belongs to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, but it is not actually protected and can be identified as ownerless. On the basis of this manor is very popular among fans of extreme tourism. The problem lies in the fact that not all visitors are attentive to the monument of history and architecture. Year after year the condition of the remaining buildings deteriorates - the stone walls are crumbling, the surviving ones are covered with graffiti and less elaborate drawings. On the shore of a reservoir in the shade of an ancient apple orchard, tourists roast shish kebabs in warm weather, leaving sometimes garbage.

Vast park area is now partially given for private development. If the owner's attitude to this object does not change, the forecast for the estate is most lamentable. And yet, even today, there is still something to fight for. Let the ceilings have long collapsed, in places there were interesting fragments of interior decoration. Until 2007, the central marble staircase to the second floor and the two-color hall were intact. Today, inside the main house, you can admire the remains of the stucco and appreciate the incredibly beautiful view from the windows to the lake.

Former grandeur of the complex

In the heyday Grebnevo (manor) looked majestic and pompous. At the entrance there were large gates in the form of a triumphal arch, they were decorated with sculptures of lions and sphinxes. The large pond had as many as eight islets, and the park surrounding the complex was decorated in a classic French style. The front yard impressed the imagination with its size and precise geometric shape. In combination with large-scale architectural buildings, the improved territory gave the impression of a real palace park.

On the sides of the main building there are wings, one of which had a balcony overlooking the front yard. Two pavilions with domes adjoin the main palace on each side, in one of them the first theater owned its own theater. The main house has a prominent central entrance, decorated with a six-columned portico and pediment.

Grebnevo (farmstead): how to get there by car or public transport

From Moscow you can get to the historical estate in several ways. From Yaroslavl station (metro station "Komsomolskaya") there are short-distance passenger electric trains. It is necessary to get to the station "Fryazino-Passazhirskaya", and then to get back on foot. Also, you can get to Fryazino by taxi. Dispatch transport from the metro station "Schelkovskaya", the route number is 361. If desired, you can get there by car. The movement must be carried out along the Schelkovskoye Highway, then it is necessary to turn to Fryazino, and after it turn after the bridge over the Lyuboseyevka River and drive through the settlement. In dry weather, the road is quite good, and you can get to the estate even on an ordinary car.

Reminder for tourists

If you are interested in the abandoned Grebnevo manor and you want to visit it, you should prepare for the trip well in advance. Choose the most comfortable clothes, prepare a navigator (orienteering program can be downloaded to a modern phone), stock up on drinks and take snack foods. Prepare the route in advance and study it on the map, taking into account the chosen mode of transport. The territory of the estate complex today is not protected, and everyone can freely enter here.

Be careful: near the historical ruins live stray dogs, most of them are peaceful and used to the society of tourists. Do not forget that the estate Grebnevo (Shchelkovo district) today is in a deplorable state. If you decide to inspect the buildings inside, look under your feet and up - the remains of buildings are falling apart almost before your eyes. Do not forget to bring your camera. Let the initial splendor in Grebnevo remain only pitiful echoes, the pictures on their background turn out to be incredibly beautiful.
