Gift box with your hands in a few steps

A gift is, of course, good. But it will be even better if you hand it in the form of a surprise, but for this it must be successfully hidden. You can simply wrap a gift paper, and you can make a beautiful box and put a present in it. So you will make his presentation more mysterious, because a person does not immediately understand what is inside. A gift box with your own hands is a great option. Make it simple, but in it you put your soul and mood, decorating as you see fit.

Before you start, select the color of the paper to be printed. Packaging from a gift cardboard is a more boring option, but if you are going to make it from this material, you will have to come up with a colorful design later. Or at least glue it with bright paper. But first things first.

Gift box with your hands: step by step instruction

1. So, take the cardboard or paper. If you start with cardboard, take one that is not very thick and can bend well. And if the paper is not very thin, since the box from it will turn out to be very fragile.
2. From the paper you need to cut a square of the necessary size. Fold it in the middle as shown in the picture. As a result, you should form two intersecting in the center line at an angle of 90 degrees.
3. The next step is to fold the corners to the middle.
4. Now we add two opposite centers so that they touch each other exactly in the center.
5. The same thing we do with the other two sides on top of the already folded ones.
6. Unbend everything and go back to the first point.
7. The two opposite sides unfold.
8. Then fold the corner between the adjacent sides as shown in the picture.
9. Bend the sides inward to form the walls of the box.
10. We fix them with glue, so that the structure does not fall apart.

Our gift box itself is almost ready. It remains only to make her a cover. Please note that it should be slightly larger in size. Or less if the lid goes inside the box. To do this, you can cut two squares beforehand, one being smaller than the other. From the smaller we make the bottom of the box, and from the larger - the lid (or vice versa).

The main stage can be considered complete, but if the gift box created by you looks somehow boring and uninteresting, think up an interesting design for it. For example, on the cover you can create a composition of flowers, paste ribbons, beads, buttons, write something. The more original the box is, the more it intrigues the one in whose hands it will soon turn out. It will want to peek as quickly as possible in order to find out what is hidden in it.

If you are going to give a decoration, then you can confine yourself to a small box, inside which you need to put something soft and, preferably, decorated with a cloth. Well, for a larger gift, you will have to make a larger box, also thinking about how to make it festive.
