Christopher Samba is a well-known Congolese defender in Russia, who was remembered for his performances for Makhachkala's Anji and Moscow's Dinamo. Christopher Samba was born on March 28, 1984 in France to a family of Congolese immigrants. At thirteen years he joined the football academy of the club "D'Issy-les-Molino", but spent only two years there. Then he moved for another two years to another academy at the club "Rouen" and only in 2001 entered the system "Sedana", with which he signed in 2002 a professional contract. However, Samba did not immediately hit the ground: he spent two years in a double, periodically being called into the adult team. But on the field at this football player came out only three times. As a result, his short-term contract came to an end, Christopher Samba was forced to look for a new club - the young defender was sheltered by the Berlin "Hertha".

Going to "Herta"

Christopher Samba - a footballer who did not have outstanding abilities, no one saw a star in it. When he moved to "Herta", he was already twenty years old, and on his account there were only three matches in the Third French League. But the Berlin club did not consider him as a base player. Samba played for a double, but appeared in the main team much more often than in France. For a year and a half, he spent 32 matches, after which he was sold to Blackburn for five hundred thousand euros.

Playing for Blackburn

In January 2007, the 22-year-old Samba moved to Blackburn, where he was able to finally find for himself the club where he could calmly perform at his level and develop. Footballer immediately became a player of the base and in total spent five years for the English team. During this time, he entered the field in 185 games, scoring 18 goals. It was in the "Blackburn" Samba imperceptibly for everyone became quite an interesting footballer, which even aroused interest from other more prestigious clubs. However, in the end, all decided the money that was offered to him at that time, a rich Russian club "Anji", buying up many talented players.

Moving to "Russia"

In February 2012, Samba became the player of "Anji" - the club paid for it 14 million euros. During the year there, Christopher Samba, a footballer who showed himself best in England, spent 39 matches, scoring four goals. In "Anji" he reached the peak of his career and immediately received an even more impressive offer from the English "CRC", which paid Makhachkala residents fifteen million euros.

Short term in the "CRC"

However, in the "KPR" Samba was not destined to stay. He spent ten matches for the new club, which eventually flew to the Championship. As a result, Christopher, as one of the highest paid players, was forced to leave the club, which could no longer afford to keep it.

Return to Russia

Samba returned to Anji in July 2013, spent five games for the club, after which he was bought by Moscow's Dynamo for ten million euros. In the remaining half of the season, he played in 11 games, but in the next year he had 37 matches on the field. But in the season 15/16 an unpleasant incident happened to him. After the athlete went to Turkey to move to play there, since Dynamo sold all foreign players because of problems with the financial fair play, it turned out that he had health problems that required surgical intervention. The transfer broke, and Samba spent the entire season in the infirmary, coming out on the field only four times. In the summer of 2016, on the last day of the transfer window, he nevertheless moved to the Greek Panathinaikos, for which at the moment he played three matches.

National team appearances

Christopher Samba played for the national team of Congo 26 matches. He made his debut in September 2004 in a game against Togo. And his last match was played in September 2013 - it was a duel against the team of Niger.
