Fishing secrets: jig-bait

Jig-bait, perhaps, the most common. It has virtually no competitors when raking deep-sea places or shoals. When posting, it behaves just fine. But the most important is that almost all kinds of predatory fish are caught on this bait .

Jig-bait is great for producing in a short time "unlocked" when fishing in particularly difficult conditions, for example, in buckwheels or on water bodies with overgrown aquatic vegetation. Varying the weight of the lure with a jig-head, you can successfully fish in almost any conditions. Exceptions are only large streams and shallow mountain rivers. That's why these baits should be in service with any spinning machine. They are simply indispensable in the active search for fish and in the exploration of a new reservoir.

Jig-bait is universal. With the help of one model, only by changing jig-heads of different weights, it is possible to easily examine both shallow bays and riverbed creeks of large rivers. No predator will miss this bait. And if the fish in the frying place is, then it will certainly make itself felt.

By its game, the jig-bait can be active or passive. The most popular are, of course, active baits. They have a pronounced own game. This group includes twisters and vibrotails. Passive baits by our fishermen are rarely used, so few are known about them. These are "crabs", "lizards", "worms" and other exotics that are not in demand.

The most common are vibro-worms. Slightly less popular are foamy fish and twisters. According to the shape of the body, vibrotails are divided into two fundamentally different groups: broad and narrow. Wide baits have a low-frequency game, the amplitude of their oscillations is quite large. They are used for catching on standing ponds. Narrow-legged vibrotails have, on the contrary, a high-frequency game. They are simply irreplaceable on rivers with a pronounced current.

Of great importance is the material from which the baits are made. It can be of different structure and rigidity. Very soft baits are able to play even in a passive state, lying on the bottom. A rigid become effective only on the flow. For example, catching a pike on a jig-bait is fraught with permanent gaps, if they are too soft. But the number of bites will be much higher than with the use of more elastic tackle. Therefore, you need to be prepared for the fact that the life span of vibrotails, twisters, and especially foam rubber fish is small.

Choosing fishing tackle, you need to focus on where and what kind of fish will go hunting. It is based on the characteristics of the reservoir and the weight of the alleged trophies, select the appropriate size of the bait. Not the least role in catching predators is played by the color of tackle. There is no unanimity here. But those who master the manufacture of jig baits, when painting, use the following rule. Bright, even slightly aggressive colors - for rivers and lakes with dark, muddy water, and natural, inconspicuous - for light and clear water.
